I appreciate that people have found solutions for avoiding materials that can become dangerous when overheated. I, too, have gone on PFOA-free journeys.

But oh my god, that egg is swimming in oil! I don’t want that many calories, and I don’t want to feel a greasy egg in my mouth.

I understand this solution is great for many people, and they should be proud and happy that they have reached their Teflon-free goals.

But as a person who can’t digest high amounts of fats without consequences and watches their calories, this is only a solution for people who love bathing their food in oil. I also avoid saturated fats, which are superior for their non-stick properties. I want to use olive oil, nothing else.

But fine, I will try it on my stainless pan and see what happens. Olive oil, heat to smoke, wipe, then a small amount of olive oil again for normal cooking.

If it works I’ll be thrilled. If not, back to my trusty teflons that never fail me. Wish me luck! Got any more tips?

I loved exile so much! It was made by pesto studios and I feel like cyan wouldn’t want to make any of the non cyan Myst games. However they sought after and received the rights to all of the Myst games. So who knows, maybe they would.

This demos so well! I played the original 1997 Riven, I hope 2024 Riven can make an impression on newcomers!

It’s so deep, expansive and immersive and I’m not sure if there is anything else out there that has the same feel.

Oh my god. I played those when they came out, except the newest one.

They were good for its time for the people who loved Myst games and then sought any adventure games that remotely resembled point-and-click adventures. We played really cool but definite imitators like Schism Mysterious Journey, The Longest Journey, Atlantis games, and The Journeyman Project.

Then came a developer called Microids with another pre-rendered point and click: “Amerzone”, everyone played that.

Once we got used to low-budget point and clickery it was only natural that when Microids came out with Syberia we all played it and loved it in the vacuum of adventure games back then. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone blindly as they were a product of its time.

I still have to play the newest Syberia and Longest Journey, for nostalgia’s sake only.

This is cool. I use an app a lot like this but for my puppy. Logging is super helpful at the start of getting a puppy and trying to track bowel habits and training progress.

If you ever feel like it, a mode for tracking puppies is useful. I currently use "Doggy Time" by a developer that also makes a similar baby tracker.

If by a good chunk of change you mean free then yes. Mod tools are not paywalled in sync. I think the reasoning was that mods don’t really get paid so they decided not to add insult to injury and mod tools are free.

So I’m the kind of person who runs back ups using two synologies and is more of a GUI guy. I use mac and pcs very fluently but I’m not entirely terminal or command line literal.

Will something like this cause more problems if I’m looking to get rid of Google drive and start switching to next cloud or will this make my life easier?

I really really want to move from google workspace, google photos and google drive. I used it all to backup a 16TB archive, sharing photos with family and friends and keeping my personal files in the cloud and synched across computers. I used a Synology to backup the archive from the computer locally to the Synology and offsite to google drive. But here’s the thing, I’m a somewhat PC and Mac-savvy technical guy, but purely GUI. Is moving to Nextcloud on my synology going to be as easy as moving to google drive? I’m a little scared TBH. There are so many ways of installing next cloud and doing 3-2-1 backups and I don’t have time to handle a little error on a Synology destroying my whole workflow for days… Someone give me hope.
