One thing to note about immich is that they use a proprietary file structure so you cannot just throw your existing pictures folder at it and have it non-destructively index them. It’s in their roadmap to change this behavior but for me it’s a deal breaker. I use photoprism and it works great for me.
I believe they added import functionality server-side, so you can throw your existing photos at it easily.
Oh cool, I may have to consider spinning up a container.
