From the makers of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry, comes a warrior’s brutal journey into myth and madness. Set in the Viking age, a broken Celtic warrior embarks on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover.
I played it recently and loved it. Very good presentation, the narrative is interesting and gripping and the atmosphere is great. Wear headphones (important!). Played it in HDR with Ray Tracing and it looked beautiful, too.
I really liked the combat, but the game is fairly easy and doesn’t really force you to really master the nuances that are there. There are some combo strings you can sequence together and some things to explore within that system, but none of it is really necessary. The animations are great though and overall fighting felt satisfying enough.
Overall the game was a very unique experience that left me definitely looking forward to the sequel. It’s a short game, too, so not a big commitment. For this price I would label it a no-brainer.
