    So in other countries, like Canada and the UK, red is Flannel and blue is Denim, but in the 80’s as elections were televised, the Denim and Flannel parties didn’t have set colors. Some stations aired their map as green and yellow, some purple and orange, but ultimately Denim took on Red through most stations. This was an odd choice, but because Denim was red, Flannel took the obvious counter color, blue.

    It’s just another funny tidbit about the states!
