I don’t usually have much time to play games, so I have missed most games when they were popular.
I currently have a PS5 and would like some suggestions.
What I seemed to have liked:
- Shooters with complex upgrade systems
- Hack and slash
- Games with interesting economies
Games I liked in the past:
- Champions of Norrath
- Borderlands
- Fallout
- Resident Evil
I don’t like:
- Games that feel too closed off
- Games that are unnecessarily difficult
- Really repetitive grinding
- Sports games
- When it doesn’t let you save at any time
It’s a PS4 game but better than most PS5 games: Red Dead Redemption 2
I might jump back into Deathloop soon when I rediscover free time (aka. never gonna happen, lol). It lacks the Compulsively-Save-Every-Five-Steps button, but it’s actually part of the gameplay and makes sense.
Otherwise:
- Doom
- Cyberpunk 2077
- God of War
- Horizon Zero Dawn (gets grindy)
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Atomic Hearts
- Mass Effect (not ps5, just the best video game series ever created)
I actually did play Deathloop for a while because it was free when I had premium Playstation subscription.
Ever play Outer Worlds?
I loved Outer Worlds. Bit slow and lacking in content at points, but it’s got loads of charm and some fun, interesting characters. Solid 7-8/10
Neat. I think I am going to try Cyberpunk next because it was recommended twice here and Outer Worlds 2 comes out this year… So I am assuming there will be a price drop for the first one.
Cyberpunk is an excellent choice. Outer Worlds goes on sale pretty often think, same with Cyberpunk, maybe keep an eye out.
Depending on how long you’ve been absent, Witcher 3 may tick some of those boxes for you.
Have you played Cyberpunk? I think you’d like it. It’s in a really great place now.
I will definitely check it out!
