On both sides, probably.

The difference to Reddit et al is that votes don’t generally matter a huge lot in here. And you can easily hide them.
Probably more fascist than communist these days. My actual favourite theory though is that there are way more important things happening under the hood of nations, and whether they’re called communist or democratic or whatever is just a veneer.
James A. Robinson’s book Why Nations Fail for instance provides an interesting alternative way to look at this, that goes beyond the surface.
Just like the far right, everything’s just reflection for you guys? The horseshoe is real.

1, That’s silly, there’s tons of democratic socialist countries that are doing just fine - today! Bolivia, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Canada, the Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand - think the US fucks with their way of governing?
All of these countries are free market economies, though. If you classify a country that has public programs as socialist, then USA is a socialist country.
Also, just as a detail, Switzerland is probably one of the most capitalistic countries in the world. They have nearly a flat tax rate, very small amounts of corporate / capital gains taxation and a health care system that is nearly privatized. And it’s all working pretty damned well for them.
There has been a weird switch in the last 10 years. Around 1990s it was obvious to just about everyone in the world how communism is a completely failed ideology. But somehow, it took just a single generation to forget that.
Something something gotta do the exact reverse of your parents whatever they’re doing I guess.
If that explained it, all capitalist run media would be lying. But they are clearly not all lying.
It’s more about who’s running it what their goals are. Communist media is widely known for being filled with propaganda and lies, after all.
The war sure explains why they have a reason to be antagonist towards South Korea and USA – in a similar way as WW2 explains why Finland is very wary of Russia still in 2000s.
But it doesn’t explain why they insist on keeping their system in the same horrible broken state. Germany and Japan were ravaged by a war and they didn’t go permanently crazy at state level.

Ok, I guess you could argue the point that these countries

What the absolute fuck are you talking about.
While shopping around for a distro for my gaming box, I tried NixOS and Bazzite. Both were fine, but the atomicity made everything more complicated without any practical upsides for my use case.
So I’m just using Nobara, which is a gaming-optimized Fedora. For my laptop, I’m just using Arch, it’s much less hassle. The declarativeness of centralization of NixOS is alluring, but I don’t really need it.
Oh right. How amazing that one of my highest upmodded comment is the one where my comment is objectively full of shit

Almost is absolutely \s
Probably mostly because almost nobody uses it.
I actually got NixOS after the latest time I tried it. But I also got that I don’t want it, Arch is much simpler in all the good ways.
And perhaps something like https://github.com/kiviktnm/decman can some day give us part of Nix’s power without going all-in with the functional declarative thingamadoodle.
Not at the moment (especially Russia, who doesn’t even claim to be), but they definitely were in the past.
(I’m not though, but we’re definitely a downtrodden, highly abused and much ridiculed minority in these parts)
Rather brave to believe that you’ll have a product, an engineering departement, a marketing departement, a support departement or any employees in your startup.
