I think that’s just from many years of rust and wear. I doubt that’s the original surface finish
It’s not just about being close to any toilet though, specifically the one at home is different. Coming home from a trip and I’ll need to go to the bathroom even though I’ve had plenty of good access the whole time.
This print are sick
I know what you’re trying to say, but in this case “feel” translates pretty directly you how it handles, and differentiating how they handle isn’t a bad way of categorizing
Cats do it and people have been living around cats for thousands of years
I was more just making a joke that using “Canada” as a form of measurement would be metric since Canada is officially metric.
I’m aware we mix stuff up in practise.
They couldn’t fly over the land or someone would’ve spotted them, obviously
Very cool! This sort of tech will only really feel right if you’re waking straight ahead at a steady pace though. As soon as you change directions or otherwise accelerate it won’t feel right because you don’t have to deal with any of the momentum that you normally do.
I like the idea of it being used on inanimate objects for other purposes though. Could this be coupled with the volume to move some props in a way to really sell paralax or movement when viewed in camera? The SFX uses are probably many.
Wait, I haven’t paid for text messages in probably 15 years. Where do they still charge for SMS? It’s usually unlimited with any plan that I’ve seen

That said, there’s a big difference between 1 sec after the fire and 90 secs. There’s definitely a tipping point where it’s more humane to just let them die instead of hours later.
Maybe it’s that you’re asking for a style that’s “unfashionable” or atypical for someone with your look so the hairdresser is second-guessing you know what you’re asking for. I bet a lot of the time they try instructions as vague as “make it shorter and look good”. They’ll err on the side of leaving it s bit long knowing they can always take a bit more off and sneak up to the desired length when it’s beyond what the normal style is.
Just get it to the length you want, then ask the hairdresser what it’s called/how to describe it and take a couple of pictures as well and you should be set for next time.
Canada’s metric
That deck post is looking a bit curved
Scrambling to lift your voice into a question you’ve been reading as a statement until you see the question mark at the end is awkward
I’d argue this is exactly why it’s not necessary on English; what makes it a question tends to be the inflection at the very end so no real need for a warning way at the beginning.
It’s pretty easy to find along the river banks around here. It wouldn’t burn if you tossed it in a fire though, not sure why (maybe it’s waterlogged or something).
For synchronizing of things like work and school we’d still end up with zones all using the same local hours (the day goes from 4:00 to 4:00 to e.g.) so we’d still end up with timezones there…
All of the clocks around the world would read the same, sure, but now you have no idea what part of the day 4:00 is somewhere else. You’d end up doing almost the same math as we do now by offsetting their time from yours so you could understand it (4:00 is the same as my 13:00 for e.g. so it’s one hour past noon over there) but now we lose the shared understanding of which numbers correspond to which times of day. This means you’d be having to mentally convert all their new times of day to the clock time instead of having intuitive sense of their meaning.
Instead of seeing the local time is 12:00 and immediately knowing it’s noon, now you’d look up what time their day started and see how many hours it’s been since then (12, so it’s noon there) and that offset is how you’d need to think of it and already what clocks show now…
