Been playing for a while already. Daggerfall is a favorite of mine. The devs are making a new game called Wayward Realms. It looks like Daggerfall with modern graphics. Down the the weirdness of the layout for the world, with random crypts and graveyards miles from anything at all.
What’s the best place to look for jobs these days? Going on indeed floods me with endless “insurance sales” positions. I tried Dice, but almost every job is wildly out of range for experience to pay. I’ve devolved down to scrolling over an area on google maps and clicking businesses to check their websites.
Well, I knew my brother was getting a new phone soon anyways so getting notified his device changed wasn’t a surprise. Otherwise, getting notified hia device changed without that knowledge may have triggered me to contact him elsewhere to ask if he did. Signal is mostly going to be conversations between close/trusted individuals. It doesn’t tell you what they changed to, the message basically tells you that if this person didn’t legitimately change devices then it might be a bad actor.
For a case that comes included with the system I can’t complain. I put a cloth under the deck and the US charger fits alright. I’ll maybe get a bigger case someday, but this one is prettu good for me not having to go get another one. The switch didn’t come with a case, so it wad just naked until I found a decent one.

My gamer laptop died, and I tend to spend a good amount of time out the house. Getting a steamdeck for like 350$ (sale) and packing one of my 15 thinkpads made more sense to me. Overall, spending about 450$ on everything instead of 1200$ for another computer that requires me to basically set up a full desktop to use it. It’s great being able to just pull out the deck and get at it. It’s not the best way to play games, but it’s pretty nice for when I’m not home.
I use gentoo on my gaming computer.
There's not really much else around that has the options that bandcamp offers. Short of making and maintaining my own personal site.
Since they bought bandcamp payments have been fucked. Ever since every time someone buys an album it takes 2 or 3 days to reach me. Which is terrible on band camp friday, where all funds go to the artist. Because of the delay instead of getting the entire sale, I get the regular amount. Logins have been breaking, the app has been unstable, and a bunch of smaller issues. They fucked it up.

A coworker of mine was an computer engineer in the early 2000s, but is now a warehouse director. She told me she helped her son build a new pc but it was having heating issues. I asked about fans and she said it only had 2 intake on the front with no exhaust. Told her a local shop that has cheaply priced good fans. She said computers have changed a lot in 20 years. I helped in about a week ago with choosing storage blocks, had no clue nvme even existed.
I hate all these bastards. That’s why I only use gentoo and play games I find in thrift stores and google drive folders.
I was using Firefox then swapped to mull. Both are good, i just figured I’d try something different and saw mull on fdroid.
I’ve been using Qobuz. Sure it’s still paid, but I can buy downloads for any of the music on there. Same with Bandcamp. I’ve been buying one album every paycheck and putting them on my storage blocks, then putting them on my media player and phone. I support my favorite bands, and get to keep something in return. On top of all this, I hunt down CDs. I’ve got a massive physical music collection, and it’s nice.
I don’t mind encumbrance, unless it’s painfully low. Stalker is a bit annoying with it, though it makes sense. Then when it’s so high it becomes a non issue is also annoying because eventually I hit the cap. The one in bg3 is fine with me. I tend to choose my companions to carry specific items, so it’s evenly spread out. Then I take breaks to go sell off my junk, usually every few in game days. I think I gave only hit cap once, I gave Karlach all the weapons I find and she was overloaded. I don’t mind encumbrance most of the time.
So, I love Daggerfall. Daggerfall is one of my favorite games, I still haven’t finished the main story mostly because I keep getting distracted doing side quests and personal goals. Daggerfall is also ridiculously big, I believe it’s one of the largest games ever. It’s also got some very bland towns outside of the major cities. I’m ok with that, because it kinda makes sense that this random town I wandered into is 6 houses and a tavern. That works for a medieval fantasy game, especially because Daggerfall is so damn charming with everything it does. Thing is, Daggerfall is pretty far removed from today’s Bethesda. And if Bethesda promised what Daggerfall is, today. I wouldn’t believe them. I see Star Field as a sci fi Daggerfall, but I just don’t believe they’ll nail it in the way necessary for that largely empty space to be charming like Daggerfall is. I say this mostly because of how bland I felt their recent games characteristics are. I’d be happy to be proven wrong tho, and maybe I’ll try it out some time in the future.
I built my pc about 3 months ago and paid the same. Amd 6700xt graphics card and ryzen 5 5600 X cpu, so it’s not a slouch by any means. Hell I just compiled gentoo and installed baldurs gate 3 in an evening, that’s pretty fuckin good. Sure, you pay around 1k for the PC. But you also get a computer that can be used for more than just gaming. I work on my computer and play games, plus the cost for upgrades will be much smaller compared to getting a whole new console. I’d say no matter what it’s worth it to get into pc gaming or just using a PC in general.
I think I paid about 850$ for my pc with no discounts and it’s pretty high end. The people spending 2k on their computer are usually buying ridiculous things that are just fluff on fluff with no real use. I think I’ll spend maybe 150 bucks when I upgrade what’s needed in the next maybe 5 years.
I deal with the same thing. I had written for several small publications, and one way I overcame my disconnect from emotion was just by stream of conscious describe things. The way I’m subconsciously describing it tends to reveal my feelings for it. Directly, i really feel nothing for it but under the layers I do have a sense of emotion for it.
