Ubuntu, so…
Material UwU is fine, though
Nice! That’s good to know for other things!
Very true, if I find a DE that works with Embrilliance this weekend, I could use my Ventoy stick and see if she vibes with it. Good call!
I could try it in another DE on my machine to see if that helps first. Maybe Cinnamon or XFCE would be good enough for her needs, I’d set her up with Plasma previously, which she liked but it’s a no-go without Embrilliance. If nothing else, it’s just one air-gapped Windows PC in the house, ultimately it doesn’t matter too much.
Same here, except for my mom’s computer, because she needs a program for embroidery design that doesn’t work well on Linux despite being in the AUR. It’s called “Embrilliance”, and for some reason the cursor disappears whenever you try to draw freeform, so if anyone has any guidance on that, hit up my DMs, I’d love to solve it for her!
GOG about to make me look like a grade-A gooner
Hey, maybe someone will buy my album!
They’re pretty distro-agnostic, you might have to translate some packages to whatever distro you’re using, but that’s just a quick search. The article in question
Do note that this requires some amount of fiddling, if that’s not your thing there are some distros that are already configured for audio production, such as AV Linux or Ubuntu Studio.
I just want someone to port PISSStream to KDE
I fixed all of that by following the suggestions on the Arch wiki page for Professional Audio, but I realize that not everyone knows about that.
Idk, if it works well enough with Proton, it’s probably fine targeting Windows. I’ve heard it said, “Windows is Linux’s best gaming API”
Tried running it in Bottles? That’s usually my go-to for games that I can’t get to work.

I use KDEconnect nowadays, but I definitely used to email stuff to myself!
RX6800 here, no issues on Arch other than ray-tracing causing crashes on Cyberpunk, sometimes taking the whole system with it, but as soon as I turned it off everything was groovy. 0 issues on other games, although it’s been a while since I’ve put it to any real challenge, as I’ve been playing Balatro lately.
Gotta set up DNS to point to your server, here’s a quick guide on how to accomplish this, but cloudflare might have their own guide that would be more specific to your platform.
Generally speaking, as long as the game doesn’t have kernel-level anticheat, it’ll work on Linux. Basically, you miss out on some competitive multiplayer games, but not all. Everything else works fine, you might have to check protondb.com for some specific fixes, but usually Steam handles all that stuff in the background. For GOG/Epic/itch.io etc. Heroic Games Launcher is your best option, though sometimes I have to use Bottles for certain games. Some people like Lutris, I haven’t had any luck with it. But, for the most part, games “just work” on Linux now.
