It you cook the sandwich, the bread, or any part of the filling, yes. If you toast your bread and warm up your ingredients in a pan, why not ? But if you are just cuting and filling. You’re assembling a sandwich, not cooking it.
I’ve started to use Qwant a few months ago when bing and duckduckgo started to give me result I had filtered out in my search. But now it is way past this stage. When I look for something I find a lot of related topic but nothing about the topic I’ve searched for.
I notice it was suddently become much worst about 10~15 days ago
!cineseries@jlai.lu (in french)
Crossposting is also a good way to start. For example there is community like !lorraine@jlai.lu or !lyon@jlai.lu that focus on specific part of France. They have almost no original content but someone interested on Lyon’s local story may not be subscribe to all the community about tourist, politic, urbanism, activism, fun stories and so on that publish stories about this place.
Yes, when you the sole poster on thé community, it is almost like writing a blog. You’re doing something for you and showing the word the results. Maybe one day, people will like it enough to participate.
I know a french degree that I would translate to Computer Information System in English but there is waay more computer science in it that what you described… I’m so glad I didn’t live thought the hardship of international studies!

I’ve build entire databases/management tools out of Excel with following of administrative file completion, warning of due payment and KPIs. It was a pain to build but it kinda worked. Then I learn to build actual relational database and I went on rebuilding them on PostgreSQL… as a back, using Acess as front that would allow Excel-like usage and Excel export of the request response.
We can say what we want about Excel but it is working really well and people are already formed to use it or at least they are enough familiar with it so they are not nearly as frighten by the idea of learning Excel as they are to learn to read a single-table SELECT SQL statement.
Preventing data from leaking is mich easier than removing publicly available data. You Can reduce how much information is found about you and put good pratice in place so your name and infos are not cited anymore but it will be impossible to erase everything about you.
No tea!? I hope that at least you live in northern hemisphere. Not having tea is easier in warm summer climat.
Get well soon.
I am sorry to inform you that I will have to decline your offer to collect tax from me.
Sincerly.

Would you care develop your argument? It is not so much that I disagree with you that I don’t understand you.

If people see more value in a patch of drying grass rather that a productive garden, how could they be trusted with enough money to buy a house ?
I’ve just switch from DDG to Qwant. I didn’t do research about how they make there algorithm but DDG that IS to say Being was returning me unrelated stuff and even things I ask not to see in my request. The result is not amazing quality but no more amazingly bad quality.
I want to learn more about search algorithm, what there referencement politic is and what use of AI they have. It not possible today to pick a search engin algorithm randomly and get pertinent résultat like it was two years ago.
I like Proton or Tuta. Both have interesting free plan as well as pay plans for upgrade.
