Blockchain (simplified) is a giant excel spreadsheet that you can never edit, only add to. I struggle to think of any applications that is a benefit for, and even then append only databases would already do it better.

One of the benefits is supposed to be decentralization, but people tout that as a benefit for things like house deeds, or identification, or whatever. Imagine how massive an append only excel file of every house with every owner change etc etc included in it would be. Then we once again only have the people who can afford to store that much data storing it, and we are back to where we are now.

It doesn’t really solve any problems, it just is a worse version of what already exists.

Thankfully Twitter is actively dying now, but if they somehow manage to turn it around we are all fucked. If they show people will stay around while you strongarm them into paying AND having limits to save server costs that is going to be adopted by basically everyone.

It’s well documented it veterinary literature, you can believe the studies or not 🤷‍♀️. It’s not like it kills your cat instantly, you just deal with diabetes kidney or urinary issues in the future. Not sure why someone would not try to prevent that.

So far the only actual study we have on this says it’s not a real thing. Sure, some cats have different preferences but it’s not like you are torturing your cat with normal bowls and need to run out and buy special ones.

For me, the issues with reddit and Twitter are moral ones. Twitter consors whatever fascist leaders ask them to, and harmful misinformation is highlighted. Reddit has intentionally excluded disabled people from their site. Both of those I don’t want to support.

I understand some people see it as “the websites are just worse now but I’m a casual user so it doesn’t bother me”, but it’s a bigger issue than that for some of us.

I’m not going to go out of my way to shit on anyone for still using those sites, and I haven’t seen any of that on the fediverse either. This post comes off as you trying to make yourself feel better. If you feel bad about it then … stop using them? If you don’t then continue on with your life.

Wellbutrin was the first thing my bf was prescribed for ADHD, which is also an antidepressant. And I think you can take it at the same time as Adderall? Because his doctor discussed potentially trying that at one point but maybe that’s incorrect.

According to what I’ve heard, reddit has a fuck ton of micromanagers at several levels. So it’s just a giant cycle of micromanaging and most likely switching direction constantly which impedes any actual progress.

What’s funny is apparently they blanket sent this out to ALL private subreddits. Subreddits that have been private for 3+ years are getting the message now.

Like I said before, the admins are going to remove whoever they feel like regardless of how much you bow down and obey them. Even if it makes no sense and has no warning. Remove all your custom stuff so reddit can’t take it over, and abandon ship. Waste of time to expect anything positive or event neutral to come out of that place anymore.

It was. Seems the admins are infighting now. They were all banned and removed, then reinstated, then had all their mod permissions removed a few hours later

It’s funny cause they failed to even blow smoke up anyone’s ass. Instead they revealed to everyone how woefully inaccessible they are and how much they do not give a single fuck about disabled people. Everything was an afterthought because they are planning to throw those notes in the trash (AGAIN). It’s been happening for years.

I hope media picks this up … This is the biggest reason I am pissed at reddit. But media only gave a sentence at most about the accessibility issues in their articles :/
