Be the change you want to see!
When someone sends a message to another WhatsApp user, their device creates a different session key for each device the receiver is using, thus telling the sender how many devices the receiver is using.
So like any other service using the Signal protocol, or am I wrong?
If you don’t mind paying for the service, there’s Mullvad.
Quadlet is such a nice tool. I never liked docker as a process supervisor because it was way inferior to systemd, which is why I was leaning towards podman anyway. Quadlet finally provides a sensible declarative configuration alternative to docker-compose, which integrates so well with systemd. Combined with Ansible, Quadlet is a nice alternative to NixOS. Can’t wait for the latest version with support for .pod files to land in Alma’s repos.
For those interested in an example, slrpnk.net apparently uses quadlet for its deployment, see here.
No one was banned, it’s not my community to manage.
Alright seems like I misinterpreted the following statement from your original comment.
Gonna block those people anyway
What is an opinion is my suggestion to ban them. As you can see, the mod disagreed and didn’t do it. And that was it. That’s what an exchange of opinions looks like.
I still don’t think one should expose them for downvoting and given Lemmy’s design I’d consider this abuse of the access rights of an admin as most users do not expect their votes to be public. The downvoters may have their reason to downvote and it is up to them to (or not to) explain themselves.
Also, like I said, you could have communicated this with the community mod over a non-public medium.
Hopefully I explained it enough.
I get it but I wholeheartedly disagree with your point of view.
Doxxing people and banning them for having a different opinion 👏👏👏
Please consider DMs next time, there is no reason to pillory them.
I’d just ping @wintermute@feddit.de here as he might tell you more about it.
You could get a storage box which is just 3.81€ for 1TB and mount it via NFS or SSHFS. That’s how we are doing it at Feddit.de
Such signatures are so annoying. Who in the history ever read this and thought “yeah, you know what I’ll get an iPhone for email”? Stupid preset.
Spamming pornographic depictions of minors
I think one reason is the large number of German users on the Internet. With around 100 million speakers, German is the second most spoken native language in the West after English.
According to the application texts, many users seem to come from various podcasts. We are also “endorsed” by one of the largest German-language subreddits on its front page (r/ich_iel). Our users have also started to watermark their memes, which occasionally attracts new users. Feddit also made it into an article in a popular IT magazine (heise).
It will probably be part of the next release.
I think this thread is about their DNS resolver, not about AdGuard Home.
Other lists are possible there too though
A GET call to /api/v3/site also returns a parameter local_site_rate_limit where the different limits are shown.
> Then I try the fedi icon and nothing happens at all… no expansion or anything. But I can see that the button is sensitive because it flashed as I clicked it. So then I forcefully copied that external link into a new tab in Tor Browser and it just shoots a blank.
Indeed. I can reproduce this behaviour with this comment from this thread. See the following screenshot from my network console. The body says {“error”: “not_logged_in”}, so maybe a caching error or something like that? I’ll ping the admin of lemmy.world
> running over tor, which shows #LemmyWorld’s blockade I screencapped.
That makes sense. Cloudflare often blocks Tor IPs or spams them with captchas.
> have always been wholly broken in ungoogled chromium.
No problem on my side.
Oh I see. So you accessed a comment on lemmy.world via the fedi icon and the Cloudflare proxy blocked you. Are you using Tor or a VPN? Because that never happened to me without either ^^
> But note that there are two “show context” buttons. In principle, if I am on a broken version I should be able to visit the parent on the originating node & possibly side-step the bug.
I am not sure if I can follow you but this bug affects both “show context” and “show parent” button on broken instances.
> Also note that I would still like a way to block CF instances
I am afraid that such a measure would only be possible for admins by blocking traffic for domains that resolve to/IP ranges operated by Cloudflare.
