Neat. Thanks. It must be unusual though. That publication seems to have only used it in the title because it’s part of a quote that is the basis for the article. They don’t use that phrasing anywhere else except in a longer quote in the body. Elsewhere they use more common phrasing like ‘go private’.
Yeah that’s what I meant 👍
I’ve not heard the term privatisation used in this way. This company is already privately owned, just not by a single individual or entity. That’s not the same thing as being publicly owned, at least here in Australia it’s not.
When I select the F-Droid link i get the message “No such app found”.
Still just a Summer intern, all these years later.
New commentary for HL2 if anyone’s looking for an excuse to play it again.
New commentary for HL2. Gonna have to play it again.
It would be hilarious if it became the biggest instance of its kind within a very short amount of time.
Tempting.
Yes.
Hot tip. You can enable ‘Install extension from file’ in mobile Firefox apps (Firefox, Fennec, Mull etc) by going to Settings > About Firefox (or About Fennec etc) > Tapping the name 5 times.
You should see a message about debug mode being enabled and the ‘Install extention from file’ option should be in the Advanced section of your brower settings.
I wonder if this means SteamOS will never see general release.
I hope that floating navbar style doesn’t become mainstream. Distracting to the point of making me sick.
That tree looks familiar.
This is a ban of those apps on work issued devices, not personal devices. I suspect there’s a range of reasons for doing this but I don’t think the apps being compromised is one of those reasons. Most likely the opposite, the apps work too well.
I think this is a limitation of Android that cannot be overcome.
I’m not in a rush to test releases I can’t get through the main F-Droid repo, that’s all. I think the only app I have a extra repo added for is NewPipe. I just prefer to wait for the F-Droid team to vet releases just like I prefer to grab things through package manager of whatever Linux distro I’m working in.
Thanks. I prefer to use a package manager and have some vetting done before installing anything.
I see. Yeah, I guess I just figured it would take ages because Thunderbird isn’t that big a team and K9 was like one person (apart from community contributions).
Very cool. Are you meant to be piloting a Mark II or is it another fighter? It seems like the cockpit is far more exposed than what I imagine being in a Mark II to feel like. It’s almost like you’re on a surfski or canoe in space.
