jettrscga@lemmy.worldto Linux@programming.dev•How happy are you with your current distro?6·1 year agoMy only issue with Mint Cinnamon is it doesn’t have badges for notifications on app icons. For example, when you get a Discord message.
It’s a really weird omission.
jettrscga@lemmy.worldto You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK if you've built a computer and it won't boot, sometimes the issue can be resolved by taking the memory out and putting it back.English13·1 year agoI prefer to flip the PSU switch to the wrong position. Because there’s no other point in time when I ever use that switch.

It’s almost modern time right now!
jettrscga@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Has google stopped working for finding anything?381·2 years agoI understand OP’s sentiment that google’s getting worse, but this sounds like ragebait. No examples of what they searched for an hour.
I think it’s beautiful as an art piece. A perfect testament to a rich manchild’s inability to be told “no”.
And now people get to drive around in this embodiment of hubris.

…But also his friendships, and entire sense of worth.
And in Cities Skyline you can just pause time, delete and fix a bunch of shit, and continue. Instant and nobody complains that you just bulldozed their house.
I think highways would look nicer if real city planners had the ability to redesign everything vs add on pieces over time.
jettrscga@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•When you're peeing in the toilet and some liquid splashes out, is that pee or water?0·2 years agoIt’s both.
Here’s a video of a water droplet, and you can see water (or urine) can actually bounce off the surface: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbGz1njqhxU
And here’s a simulated urine stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c66KVU5ah8
The urine displaces a lot of nearby water as well. That surrounding water would initially be “clean” toilet water, but urine will mix into the water pretty quickly. That mixed water will then also displace as more urine hits the surface.
The latest steam survey says 2.08% use Linux.
That’s more than 2%, I bet you feel pretty ridiculous now!
