That’s half the reason I like Thunderbird. Email hasn’t changed for 20 years, and neither has Thunderbird’s interface. I don’t need shadows and 3D effects and stylised colours and buttons, I just want a white page with black text displaying the content of my incoming messages.

A lightweight Linux distribution would make that thing killer for word processing and document reading. Might even allow YouTube videos to be watched again.

Any equivalent Android tablet would have custom ROMs etc. to get a bit more functionality out of it. I know it’s not a tablet, but look at the Samsung galaxy SII - the amount of community development for that is incredible to this day.

I agree GIMP isn’t great, but Krita is everything I ever wanted. It completely replaces Photoshop for me.

I use Consent-O-Matic. It’s not perfect, but I’d say it works on 50% of websites.
