If you consider the ACLU to be ‘far left’ I don’t think I want you at my kickbacks tbh

Goddammit no, I’m not going back to fuckin Chrome
Pff. Fuck him. The minute advertisers whined Do Not Track into being a glorified radio button for the equivalent of an unplugged controller, it’s been up and stuck for advertisers afaic. I will run the strongest ad-blocks I can, fuzz my browser fingerprint as hard as I can, and do everything in my power to spoil my track behind me. Yes, if it’s advancing the worst vices of capitalism, it’s fucking evil.
Cracker there is a hard-r at the top of that post history. You deserved it.

Oh, they definitely A/B Test. Not even A/B in our case, it’s like A/B/C/D/E/F Testing lmfao.
The only time Ublock Origin was wonky for me was that strip of time where Youtube was outright blocking videos if they detected a blocker-- that time, none of the documentation on “how to make Ublock work during this time” worked for me; but it cleared up a few months back and not a single issue since.
Oh god fucking dammit how the blue fuck does Mozilla still think they can partner with sheisty-assed third parties and think we won’t run that shit down?
Overpriced, locked down hardware, walled garden software, and a snobbish userbase. I simplify it all down to "I’m not paying 500 more dollars for a logo."
And this is why if you MUST take your phone somewhere “important”, you leave it off until it’s needed-- preferably battery disconnected, if your model still allows you access. Location data can blow an alibi just as surely as it can make one.
Too real, Chloé.
It’s taken one step further into a fuck you I’ve got mine attitude.
That’s exactly what it is and exactly what it has been since the end of the Great Depression.
The train is an unrelatable, unaccountable “us” that Americans will never, ever choose over their ideal “me.”
I think, with this breakdown, you’ve skewered the dark, dessicated heart of why I cannot fucking STAND Amerikans anymore; because I’m learning from bitter, hateful experience just how little they give a fuck for people who are medically barred from the kinds of lifestyles they want. Do you know how badly I wish I could get back behind a wheel and NOT fear for taking lives because I started dissociating on the highway?
The more I see shit like this, the more I believe gas-guzzler NIMBYs deserve to be beaten in the mouth with a brick honestly. I’m literally medically unable to drive. If I seize up behind the wheel, which is a likelihood because my seizures have been getting worse lately, I might cause a whole-assed pileup knowing my luck; so the only way I get to travel other than spending exorbitant amounts of money on Ubers and Lyfts (which keeps me quite frequently homebound) is planes and trains. And the nearest train stations are like. 75 and 100 miles away.
Specifically because of NIMBYs kvetching about “oh wah, the noise, oh wah, it might hit my car, oh wah, not in MY backyard!” Nah fuck that I got a brick for your window if you’re getting in the way of public transit.
This kind of shit is why I keep telling people to thoroughly divest in every way from Meta. They’re just going to keep doing shit like this.
Is the evidence of your eyes with every new Meta acquisition not enough? Is what happened to XMPP not enough? The last twenty-four years of technological history is littered with these robber barons embracing, extending, and extinguishing everything that competes with them, and you’re gonna ask me for journalistic articles WRITTEN BY THE SAME FLUFFMEISTERS THAT SOFTBALL THESE ROBBER BARONS???
You’re a fuckin riot.
Paywalled article; nuke it and move on unless there’s either an archive link or a rehost on somewhere that doesn’t cater to capitalists
I hope you hold that same energy for CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Associated Press, and Reuters.
