Range depends A LOT on how you ride but anywhere from 80 to 120 miles is my experience. I’m sure you can get 160 miles from specs if you ride at speed limit.

My 848 had a very loud Acrapovic exhaust so cars would part like the red sea, but I haven’t noticed any difference in how drivers react between my Monster with a stock exhaust and Zero. Oblivious drivers will drive like shit unless something REALLY grabs their attention. Silent motor doesn’t really make it worse. I maybe only feel it at intersections because it seems like it is more difficult for drivers to gauge your speed without the sound.

Switched to electric bike years ago and have no regrets. Tbf I did switch from a Ducati so high price wasn’t a show stopper, but I love my Zero SR.

Just got the battery replaced due to an issue with one of the modules with days left on the warranty and Zero took care of it without any cost to me after a quick diagnostic process.

Otherwise zero issues with my Zero. Only maintenance in the last 4 years is replacing the tires. Love the bike.

I can get any old movie I want and am able to download all the latest stuff very quickly using two private trackers. I was lucky enough to get a free m1. That thing uses 10w or so when you remove the stupidity and install Linux on it. But even if you have to buy a Pi - it’ll pay for itself in a few months of not paying for streaming service.

Desktop config has very little to do with OS since most are running kde or gnome and those handle all that.

OpenSUSE is very well known and had btrfs snapshots for a very long time. I’ve used this feature several times to undo updates and it is extremely easy and best of all works perfectly without user having to configure anything.

I mean I still don’t care about solar panels on my roof and I’m much happier with a moon roof on my PHEV. Nearly 80km of electric range means I’m driving an electric car 99% of the time and have convenience of 5 minute fill ups when I go further.

You also don’t buy a painting for the frame, but it sure helps.

Nothing to do with usage imo. They were in very obvious TOS violation that was affecting IPs belonging to CF and therefore affecting all CF clients. After a 48 hour warning they were still given two weeks to switch to enterprise plan and bring their own IPs. Instead they fucked around.

Most companies would shut your shit down for TOS violations and then maybe allow you to reach their legal/finance to figure out how to offboard your ass. Two weeks was more than fair.

We’ve been using CF for a long time as enterprise and non enterprise customers and while their support went to absolute shit compared to what it was, I agree with the first comment on that article.

Casino was in violation of TOS and the only solution was BYOIP with enterprise plan. They were given 48 hours to correct, but tried to weasel their way out of it for two weeks when CF finally shut down their account.

I’m 100% on the side of CF in this instance. This also explains the sales calls. There was no tech issue to resolve.

I don’t know. Maybe I’ve trained it throughout the years or maybe I don’t even notice when I correct shit, but it works well enough for me that I don’t really notice its imperfections anymore. Either way I’ve not found a better swipe keyboard so MS can have all my typed data in exchange for this convenience.

I don’t think your assumption is right at all. Me, and I sure fucking hope 99% of other people who bought a PHEV, charge at home. Because if not, why the fuck did you massively overpay for a car when you could’ve gotten the ICE version?

My car is basically full electric for 99% of the time because 50 miles of electric range I get is plenty for daily driving in city traffic.

I just don’t want to waste money on full electric because somehow they are still treated and priced like luxury cars despite most of them being equivalent to cheap cars in build quality and materials.

I also want to avoid the hassle of spending too much time at charging stations during long trips because I have kids and just want to get places. And please don’t tell me there are a ton of charging stations without wait. I constantly see and hear from my friends who own electric cars how much of a pain it is especially during holidays. And I live in CA, easily one the states most prepared for electric cars.

And made significantly worse by a) locking you into using a restricted version of the browser made by a shitty company. b) laging noticeably behind that browser in development c) using custom apis for performing tasks already available in any browser like interacting with microphone, camera etc d) breaking perfectly working components that rely on OS apis in regular browsers like screen sharing, video acceleration, etc e) some of the above is partially responsible for Electron being totally broken on certain combinations of OS/WM/hardware where regular browsers work prefectly fine

I can keep going, but my point is all these pointless sacrifices are supposedly there to save dev team a bit of time instead of designing a properly working website and just using a web app or allocating some time to build a functional native app.
