Speaking as a Dutch person, ebikes are a very nice solution for a lot of your shorter trips. I personally don’t have one (I mostly take public transport to work and besides that my regular bike suffices) but I can see that ebikes are becoming more and more regular around here. It’d be cool to also see them more abroad in other countries.
I’m still happy that I went through the effort to delete all my old posts when I left Reddit a while back. I periodically check if they’ve restored them and luckily it hasn’t happened so far. I do miss some of the bigger communities but overall I’m having a good time on Lemmy.
The family plan sadly isn't an option for me, I don't have anyone in my family that uses YouTube as much as I do so they wouldn't be interested in it.
I wouldn't mind paying a little bit of money every month to get YouTube ad free. However, it costs €12 a month. That's a lot of money if you only care about getting rid of ads. I personally don't need the other features (downloading videos, background play and YouTube music). If they added a 5 to 7 euro a month tier through which you could get rid of ads then that would be much more interesting to me. Now I just feel like I should keep looking for ways around their pop up shenanigans.
It definitely depends on the country you’re visiting. The tube trains (and stations) in Paris are generally pretty gross but when I was in Copenhagen recently I was surprised by how clean everything was over there.
Over here in NL I’ve only ever seen like 5 or 6 seasons, I had no idea there were that many already. Are the later seasons any good?
