Why does it need a “six” on the “VI” in the logo. Do gamers struggle reading roman numerals?
What’s wrong with using a switch?
You are going to get lots of downvotes, and this comment will too.
Linux on desktop has come a long way in usability, but it is still far behind Windows/Mac. It has lots of small issues that add up to a frustrating experience for mainstream users.
It is good for power users who don’t mind tweaking and going to the terminal.
It is ok for users who perform very simple tasks (e.g web browsing), and occasionally have the support from power users.
But for most people in between, it is a struggle. I dislike Windows and I have tried migrating to Linux many times, there is always something that requires unnecessary effort to make it work the way I need.
Once again, thank you for all the hard work you put into maintaining the instance.
While you are at it, I wonder if you can check the configuration for pinned/featured posts.
It appears that lemmy.cafe instance doesn’t always show pinned posts at the top. For example:
https://lemmy.cafe/c/imageai@sh.itjust.works
If you refer to the original instance, there should be a pinned post with the title “[Community Challenge 50] The Space Race”.
I want one but it’s way too expensive.
Is there any viable alternatives?
Meta apps are some of the worst spyware. When I occasionally need to use Facebook, I use the web interface only, so I don’t need to install the apps.
Can it time travel using its negative clock speed?
Imagine if AI gets elected as the president of the USA because it is more advanced and reliable than human candidates. There has been nothing like that in history.
AGI would be very different to all other previous technological advances.
If there is AGI and it doesn’t turn hostile towards humans, hopefully there could be universal basic income?
But more likely, the rich and powerful have better access to advanced AI, and the poor get into even more difficult situations. It will probably be gradual like how machines replaced most factory workers.
Appreciate open source projects, but…
The descriptions on its Github page looks heavily AI generated. It uses a whole lot of words to say very few things.
Would benefit from having a few screenshots instead of walls of text.
Also, it is just a Lemmy client for now, so just call it one instead of “connect to the fediverse”.
This AI knows nothing about 4 June, 1989.
There is [Sublinks] (https://sublinks.org/) but I have no idea when it will be released.
I think the best we can do now is to move communities away from ml.
I see your posts on various communities all the time. Glad to see you here.
Yeah because I care enough to speak against tankies. Thanks.
Thank you very much! Now I feel much more comfortable using Photon.
Thanks again for developing it and making it open source.
When I am tired of a post, I either downvote or ignore the post.
You seem to care enough to leave a comment, thanks.
That’s good news. I will move back to Photon when that happens. Thanks for letting me know.
Exactly! This game needs a map of explored places.
