Because bits are not expensive anymore, and if we used 64 bits, we might run out faster than the time needed to convert to a new standard. It’s a good thing to not have to worry about address space when designing your network.
If someone is paying you to write code, they have some say in the contract about how it is licensed. You could be upfront about only doing GPL, and they could be upfront about saying no. But if you try to do it after the fact, that’s a violation of the contract.
USB PD (Power Delivery) actually does use a higher voltage for more wattage. Standard USB is limited to 5V at 0.5A and sometimes up to 5V @ 2A on quick chargers. But PD chargers can give 20V and 3A for 60w or even 5A (100w) with properly rated cables. There’s even a proposal for up to 48V at 5A to get 240w. This is all determined by a negotiation between the charger, the cable (which does have a small chip for this purpose), and the device, therefore PD chargers must support multiple voltages.
I can run 7B models on my laptop with its embedded GPU. Running on a phone or a Pi is possible with smaller models, but very slow. Expect good speed with a desktop Nvidea GPU. Later this year, there should be new computers with an NPU integrated to the CPU which should speed up computers that don’t have a dedicated GPU. (But a GPU will still outperform them by a lot.)
70B models will run very slowly on even the best consumer hardware due to memory limitations.
I have seen cases where two tubes are used, but one only stretches half way, so they can tell which lane is used.
Just wanted to add that California in particular has a law requiring cities to study average speed before they change a speed limit. (And then have to pick a speed that 85% of traffic can follow, unless there are extra safety concerns.)

Fun fact: pretty much all the helium we have access to comes from alpha decay of heavier atoms, such as natural uranium. An alpha radiation particle is just a “naked” and fast moving helium nucleus. (Missing the electrons.) When this happens deep in the earth, it quickly runs into something, stops moving, and picks up some electrons to make it helium, which can accumulate in certain rocks.
Orbits are circles or ovals, and the satellite must always be moving to stay in orbit. But the time to go around depends on the distance, so there is a distance where the satellite takes 24 hours to go around, which matches the Earth’s rotation, which is geosynchronous. A subset of these is called geostationary, when the orbit is a circle around the equator, so it stays in the same spot of the sky. (Then we can aim a ground antenna just once and don’t have to adjust it.) Satellites at this distance add 1/4 second delay to any signal because of light speed. This orbit is very tight, since it can not vary in altitude by more than a few hundred meters. (More than that would cause them to drift east or west out of the assigned spot.) There are a limited number of “slots” in this orbit to keep the satellites safely separated and to prevent their signals from overlapping. Most of these are used for communication, especially TV. A few are for weather, as they can watch an entire hemisphere constantly.
Other satellites operate in a lower orbit. Here the orbital period can be as low as 90 minutes. Most of these orbits are inclined so they pass over most of the earth instead of just the equator. The orbit (circle) stays in one angle while the earth rotates underneath. Satellites here get better images because they are closer to Earth, but take a day (or more) to see everything. They also have greatly reduced light speed delays. These orbits eventually decay because of tiny amounts of air at that altitude.

Some nations would be worth more per person to a data broker than others. How many billions have no Internet? How many have little money to spend on the companies the data broker sells to? Americans and Europeans would be at the top of the list, per capita, and could easily exceed $1000, and the total would just barely top 1 trillion.
No, I don’t think that would work. Combining two antenna in one coax would combine the waveforms, which could result in destructive interference and much less signal. Even in the best case, you would lose any benefit of the directional antenna.
Interference is a legit issue, especially if there is an active USB3 port near the mouse dongle. This is because USB3 specifically does create some mild interference near the 2.4GHz range used by the wireless mouse. The back ports of the motherboard also sit with the metal box between the dongle and the mouse, blocking some of the signal. Using a box-front port, or a keyboard port as you did, helps separate the dongle from potential interference sources. Even just a few inches helps a lot.
Try switching the default before removing the others. If the others get added back, the default should start the same. If you just remove them, it might not update the default. (Because then it’s just showing you whatever is left over when it can’t find the default.)
Should be better since they usually don’t have an uplink capability. But be real careful of any model that has Internet for any reason.
