  • Thats relatively tame, he’s done more ridiculous stuff than that, but it is creative and funny in an “industry” where most streamers just play a game straightforwardly and don’t “cut loose” in quite the same way. I’m just habitually hyperbolic.

I also don’t want to spoil the best things he’s done, half the fun of watching Jerma is discovering those things.

  • He’s a fantastic video game streamer. Very charismatic, genuine, and funny. I think one of the things that makes him special is he’ll do ridiculous things for a joke. If he thinks of a funny idea on the fly, sometimes he’ll basically stop playing whatever game he was supposed to be streaming, and just do something else stupid instead.

For example, one time he performed a “magic trick” by unplugging his modem and then plugging it back in, using the time in between when the stream was frozen to run out of the room, making it look like he “disappeared”. He would do insane, hilarious stuff like that regularly, it wasn’t like he had special streams where he did things like that, he did them all the time.

Of course he ALSO did special streams where he went even further, such as the “doll house” stream where he had a whole set made up like a fake house and basically became a Sims character with needs bars and everything. He’s a really special guy, and you could spend all day listing all of his amazing feats. He perfectly walks the line between being actually stupid in a funny way, and playing it up as a character, it’s convincing enough that it all just becomes “Jerma”, but he is also a genuinely good guy.

  • I respect that you posted the original context. It’s a sad fact that there are people who don’t understand others, and react with hatred or skepticism.

Do your best to be patient and forgiving, being snarky or outwardly rude does damage to their opinion of you and the topics you want them to be educated on. They will not want to learn or be accepting if you give the venom back.

And that may not even work either, but if you care you have to try, and don’t sink to someone’s level.

  • It’s definitively manipulative, but people on the internet like to take something like that and then sprint to the conclusion that the person exhibiting the behavior is entirely knowledgeable about what they’re doing and is nefariously doing it on purpose in order to control the person and keep them locked in a position of weakness.

A lot of people exhibit behavior like this because they feel scared or upset and don’t know how to healthily express or resolve it, or were taught by unhealthy homelife that the behavior is normal, even if it’s not. I think people in the comments immediately rushing to leave her and anyone like her behind will either find it hard to maintain a relationship, or should count their lucky stars if they’re with someone that is completely healthy and knowledgeable about negative human behaviors and willing (and able) to fix it.

  • Just beat Catherine Full Body last night. There are a lot of things I like about the game, and some things I both like and dislike. It’s really more of a “this is the main character’s story and you’re mostly along for the ride” than it is a narrative experience where you choose every move the protagonist makes.

Because of that, I think how you feel about the story will be determined by your own stance on relationships and the morality of them, hedonism, marriage, and things like that. For me, I felt familiarity with my experience watching Breaking Bad in its painful spectation of characters who make questionable decisions and their creation of damning consequences.

Easy mode treated the puzzles well, just takes away the time pressure of the blocks falling away (save for the boss battles where you’re being chased). I ended up quite enjoying the puzzles! In the end, I don’t know if I’d recommend the game. If you’re interested in games doing something neat and novel with the topic of relationships then I think you’ll find value in it.
