I’m not going to call everyone riding one a douche but I am also not going to buy one.
What was wrong with chopper bikes though? I’ve barely seen anyone outside kids ride them and wasn’t aware of any reputation aside from being kind of impractical for much outside of casual cruising.
I’ve been looking at converting my Trek 820 ST but I still want to have a regular bike. Once I get one, I probably will convert it with a Bafang or something.
That said not all ebikes are a huge PITA to service, depends on the brand.
Kind of want to pick one up because they seem like quality ebikes, but I’m kind of worried about support/repair down the line.
Velomobiles are pretty cool but IDK if that’s quite what they’re looking for. If it is though, they could also check out reverse trikes aka tadpoles for something similar but lighter/more bare-bones.
Update: They unlocked the sub, claiming they didn’t know it was locked. Apparently this is for EP2 Pros sold recenty-ish, probably best to check with support though.
You can make little vented enclosures but yeah, there’s only so much you can do in a confined space.
I did not buy it, but thanks for introducing the cancer of microtransactions you jackass!
This was right after they came back onto the sub and made a post saying “Hey, we’re back, let’s reconnect!”
I guess they weren’t serious about that. I tried contacting their support e-mail and was told not to worry about it. Really? Don’t worry about the battery that may or may not burst into flames? Not even sure how to respond to that one.
Better than those ICE things I guess.
The foam breaks down over time or after an impact. It’s your brain kid, protect it.
An old helmet is better than no helmet but it’s best to replace after a crash or 5 years. The impact absorbing foam deteriorates over time.
Looks like they just set their subreddit to restrict submissions and are still not answering a single question in their AMA posts. This is why it’s not worth cheaping out on an ebike.
No (holy shit though, that would be terrifying), but maybe they can be scaled down to something smaller.
Print with the same setup you’d use with resin printing: It’s an enclosed tent that has filters and venting you can direct outside.
There are still plenty of idiots who make a stink about helmets and seat belts unfortunately.
Yeah, that’s a common experience after bad motorcycle crashes. Glad you’re still with us!
Mine wasn’t nearly as bad looking but I was going maybe 40, just some minor scratches. However, when I took off the chin bar I realized the anchor was close to torn out and there were spots in the EVA foam that cracked. Wearing a helmet saved me from a pretty nasty head injury or worse.
You get in a crash without a helmet?
Found the marine.
It means this is his last term, barring any changes to the law or extralegal shenanigans, period.
