Only lick the soldering iron when it’s turned on. That way, the ouchies from the heat cancel out the ouchies from the lead poisoning. Trust me, I’m an expert at licking things other people say shouldn’t be licked

What an insane thing to read with no context
I’m doing my first play through trying to get as many achievements as possible. Got my first ever Getting on Track Like a Pro and There is No Spoon whilst getting all of the restriction-achievements other than the no handcrafting on. Very pleased with that! I don’t think I’ve even got the easy speedrun achievement before.
(I know the rocket is easier to launch now, but I didn’t realise when I was playing so I still would’ve got the achievement with the old rocket’s cost)
Looks good! My ship is just a factory I strapped engines and guns onto. I ran out of ammo and power before I got to my destination (lightning planet) and now my ship is in orbit being slowly destroyed and I’m wondering how I’ll get home 😅
Also wondering if I have to build a rocket silo and automate rocket parts again on this new planet. I guess so, since there isn’t a passenger capsule like in Space Exploration to return home in.
I’m going into this mostly spoiler-free and I’m trying to get an achievement for researching an off-planet technology before yellow or purple science, but the only available tech is 1000 science packs. So I’m going I’m under-prepared and have to stay for a long time as my “ship” disintegrates above me 😅
I’ve actually lent completely in the other direction. I used to be more like you described, and I’d get annoyed and frustrated with myself when I started losing interest, or I’d get anxious wondering what I would do next. Now, I try to get every bit of enjoyment while my hobbies are still interesting to me, knowing I’ll be moving on soon.
You can probably still be emotionally attached to someone, even if they’re not around anymore?
I can be, and I would like to be, but it never seems to work out that way… Part of my question is to work out what other people do and what I’m doing wrong.
Yes, that sounds like me. I’ve only really had it happen twice where people have come back into my life, but one of them is now my best friend again after I didn’t see or talk to them for years. The other example moved away for about eight years and although we were close (before or after) we did just carry on the same relationship we had before.
Thanks ;)
I am ND, so part of this is trying to diagnose what I’m doing wrong and part of it is trying to understand what everyone else is doing haha
It’s true that I don’t seem to need company in the same way that lots of people do, but I don’t think that’s the issue here. I have good friendships with people in person, but can’t seem to keep them up online. I think I’m just not as comfortable / good at talking over text for the more in-depth and interesting conversations that are worth having friends for
That’s really cool! I wanted to start playing D&D online with the friend that prompted this question, but she doesn’t really have the time (or I’m not important enough to make time for, I guess) :/
Kinda sucks, but that’s what happens sometimes
Thanks for the input. I do have closer friendships in person, but once we move apart (geographically) it just sort of… fades. Based on these replies, I think I’m just not very good at talking over text
It’s so you don’t have to bend down, can be helpful for less mobile people with slip-on shoes
Before you start playing, set an alarm on your phone for when you will stop. When the alarm goes off, do not say “I’ll just finish X before I stop” else you won’t stop. Just save the game and turn it off. You could also set another alarm five minutes before to give you time to finish what you’re doing, if you want.
That IP address is coming from inside the house!
Or she’s lying because she can’t say, “only Christian ministers are allowed”
Wait until you hear about this new thing called: one set of rules for rich people & their companies, one set of rules for poor people
I honestly didn’t know albatrosses use fishing rods. I kinda thought you just five into the water and use your beak. TIL!
Have I understood correctly?
FYI: any old rail seems to have been converted to “legacy rail” which isn’t the same as normal rail. I found that I couldn’t place my (old) blueprints down on top of (new) rail that I’d placed manually because the tracks aren’t technically the same
