It’s thr reason a SIGNIFICANT portion of users still put up with their bullshit OS on their machines. Doesn’t mean they aren’t shitting the bed with said OS or their gaming divisions.
Certified foxgirl enjoyer. Weeb, but hasn’t properly watched anime in ages. Gamer of incresingly niche subgenres. Aficionado of racecars, mechas, fighter jets, and any other vehicles you can think of. Lives in the wrong side of the planet compared to all my friends. Made way too many Fedi accounts

Splendid! I have a laptop running Arch, and while I did set that one up manually, it was a lot of work. Next time, when I do it on my gaming PC, I’m definitely using Endeavour
The exact same bullshit they pulled on Helldivers 2 and all their other recent PC games, for that matter, even the single player ones needing PSN logins and region locks. Don’t buy their stuff.
I’ve never even dared to make an account there to ask questions because they’ve always been toxic as fuck. And lately they’ve been going about pivoting to AI, after they sorta monopolized the “business” of answering questions on several subjects… They can go eat my ass with that shit and attitude.
Is anyone surprised by this? Really? At this stage, after we’ve seen the lenghts that Sony has went to stuff PSN account requirements on even their offline singleplayer games?
Most of them have no idea what they’re talking about, and sometimes those who do, are making a video just for entertainment purposes or got paid (in getting a free game key) to not say anything too bad about it.
Yes. Next stupid question.
I hate that feeling of bouncing between things, or of just staring at my screen so much. So much. But when it happens, I am rarely able to snap out of it in the moment. It usually takes a few days and a mood change to fix it.
I’ve been playing using the latest forks setup on the Fitgirl torrents of Switch games. Started with The new Zelda and Unicorn Overlord, then grabbed some other games. The folder comes with a launcher to both emulators, I customized the whole thing to be my own Switch central, and updated the Ryujinx build with the last “official” one on the Internet Archive.
Other than that, this thread has good recommendations for followup projects to both. The megathread has places to download the games themselves individually.
Real. Ever since I spent some time setting up good CRT shaders, playing retro games feels a lot cooler. They just give the best feeling and look pretty nice with them on. Sometimes for fun, I leave the shader on for regular Windows usage.
Wait, wasn’t this one actually kinda decent at being a CoD clone? Lmao. Ubisoft can’t get anything done right.
My go-tos on my Arch laptop are Doom and Quake, there’s tons of sourceports, both focused on singleplayer or multi player for both games and their sequels. You just need to buy the games once so you have the main game files to use with the optimized source ports.
Take-Two CEO? absolutely do not believe anything coming out of his mouth or company. Scum.
The banner ad looks like they’re promoting a free week of the game… Which is already free to play. Are they really that desperate to get attention on it to counter these negative reviews? Lmao. I haven’t played in a while but I left a negative review there.
Good move, too bad it’s tied to an incredibly bad game that ruins the franchise. Thanks a fucking lot Randy you sleazeball. Never trust Gearbox with anything.
It’s the bit about RIPPING AND TEARING them to bits and rebuilding the Earth at the end.
Demonoid, absolutely! Warez-bb, and many oldschool GeoCities blogs. I remember one that had portable cracks of any programs you could imagine.
I like playing “Asuna” as a minecraft-adjacent experience, with a bunch of nice world generation mods already packed in. But I also have concocted my own modsoup on top of that, so it’s also pretty far from the vanilla of that. There’s other games that come up mostly ready for play, like Mesecraft or Voxelibre (that one being mostly an actual MC clone, also renamed) look around the content DB tho, there’s a ton of nice stuff around.
There’s way too much stuff in there, but as of right now I think it’s Mechanicus, and the Serious Sam HD remasters, thanks to a recommendation in another thread just now. I also have a couple interesting demos I downloaded. The problem is, I haven’t played anything from my Steam at all in the past month or so. Everything I’ve been gaming has been outside of it.
Also hilariously, these Serious Sam games were the literal first games I bought when I created my Steam account and I never played through them. They were an impulse buy from a friend’s recommendation back in the day but I wasn’t as into boomer shooters as I am now.
Surprised it took this long to happen. The game was already a shambling corpse after it got sold to a crypto company.
