Check out Tranga as a direct replacement to Kaizoku.
Awesome, appreciate it.

I believe Tachiyomi was meant to download the manga and view it on Android?
Correct
I forgot what Komga was, is it a downloader?
Similar to something like plex, jellyfin, kavita, etc. Its basically a manga media server. Not a Downloader
For downloading, I ended up trying out “kaizoku,” which is unfortunately no longer maintained. Acts as a frontend for a service called “mangal,” which seems to no longer be maintained as well… Does the job for some websites at least.
Try things out. Get an old pc with some old hard drives no one will want and get to it!
Just install whatever on it and start asking yourself what you want to do with it.
I started on Ubuntu Server and ended up on Unraid. Caused alot of problems along the way but in the end I learned alot to where I dont stress too much when stuff goes south.
Also, when you truly do invest into a proper server. Consider the drives you are buying are gonna die one day. It may take years to happen but it will happen!
For syncing to multiple devices, I would recommend syncthing. Was pretty easy to set up and haven’t had any issues.
Waste of money. Why not compete with the switch/steamdeck? Make the remote play an option like you’ve done in the past. A digital ps5 is $400 and the portal is $200. I’m paying $600 and can’t take the device anywhere. Steamdeck starts at $400 and the switch is $300. Hell, I can install remote play on the steam deck and do the same thing the portal does. Sucks this is how sony is getting back into “portable” gaming.
Whats the email? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.
Honestly, I’m ok with it. Piracy shouldn’t be something that anyone can see. More something people find after looking for it. Yes there is the con to having less users but the more users we have the more risk we take on.
Initially it was just using overseerr and letting everyone that use my server just request what they wanted. I would also just explore overseerr once in awhile to see whats new.
Now though, I have several lists configured in both radarr and sonarr that are made by mdblist that will add the latest popular films/shows. Due to this usually I can just check my server and I’ll already have either the show or the movie without doing anything.
I get it, the usual person wouldnt want to tinker much but I was able to get remote play on my steam deck and run god of war ragnarok with little to no issue. Dont see why they dont just make their own version to compete and have the remote play as another feature.
I worked at a phone store for 4 years and even though many people will say they dont care much for you having an android they will freak out the moment you say you have one. First thing they say is GREEN BUBBLES and then I have to deal with a rant on why they are iphone and what I use instead of so and so app.
Im just here to enjoy the ride. No matter how bumpy it gets. After a year goes by and im still here, I can look back at this and remember that we all got through it.
I just use Lidarr. Use to do spotify so I linked that onto lidarr and then let it do its thing.
Netflix through T-Mobile, Real-Debrid (plex), and Amazon Prime.
Only thing I actually use though is Real-Debrid. Got Plex truly automated so I just use that for everything including music.
For now its x265. Though later on itll be av1.
I was in a similar boat. Initially, I ran debian with docker but later on decided to check out unraid. It’s pretty easy to get setup, and you have a lot of docker containers pre-configured, so you can just click and install. I have it notify me whenever something goes on with it, but outside of that, I don’t tinker much with it.
Only two weird things about it though…
You dont install unraid. Instead, you run it through a usb. More specifically, the usb has a specific config that’ll then load everything to your memory.
Recently, they redid their pay structure so not too familiar with the changes but you do have to pay for unraid.
