I believe Kbin already fills that role either as a fork or at least as a similar platform

There is absolutely a segment of Mastodon users who behave like they do, and tbh I think there should always be small instances, but i also think this will be a great improvement.
I love the green theme on the menu, they deliberately changed their cable box settings for that. Throws me back.
J’adore ca j’ai trouvé beaucoup des communautés francais sur lemmy a ce moment
I keep hearing they are swamped and not many people, so if that’s really the case i hope this spurs knowledgeable people to join to help add these things.
I like my reading better - if that’s the intent I’m even sticking to mine harder out of spite/subversion
I don’t own one, but any of the times I’ve ever tried using some sort of fancy toilet seat with a sprayer, it squirts at such a force that it’s uncomfortable. It sucks because I have IBS and I have to be really picky about TP.
So, I don’t think the shows themselves qualify as CP but I can’t really watch them anymore myself knowing what a creep he was.
How much do you know about the producer largely responsible for those scenes, Dan Schneider?
I hate this hand-wringing over “b-but what if we break the rules for a good thing?” Meanwhile every time the GOP comes into power they trod on rules and norms in their crusade to bring American political and civil rights back to the 1800s.
Like, this court wasn’t just politicized, it was hijacked when they refused to consider Merrick Garland at the end of the Obama presidency, only to ram through appointments under the Trump presidency.
Packing the court to better align with where American society actually is, when specifically in retaliation for the GOP’S attempts to force millenials and zoomers to live in a Christian Theocracy for the next 50 years strikes me as the only way for Democrsts to actually govern successfully.
We were dangerously close to the gutting of American democracy this past week, but we got lucky the court rejected Independent Legislature Theory.
That’s what I’ve been hoping will happen - it would be cool for networks to pop up too like how there were for some subreddits.
Also, if they ever add lists they could work like a “multireddit” to corral all the same type of community into one feed at least on the user-end.
I make an effort to comment on interesting posts or links I appreciate! But I haven’t had much in terms of inspiration to post (might be because I don’t have reliable desktop access rn).
On isolated, super rural areas where you’re the only person on a dirt road for miles, I think it might be unavoidable during parts of the year or if the road is really intensive to bike (steep, sharp curves for example) BUT that’s where you should be able to drive to your village or town center and pick up the 15-30 minute regional train.
Likewise that would mean the people closer to town who might already be walking to the barber or liquor store would also be able to walk to the station if they needed to go farther.
