I don’t know when or how, but it seems in my lifetime we went from that. Having corporations that just did something well and left it at that to this idiotic grow or die mentality that seems to be fueled by investor ROI.

Sorry, I just meant on the home/consumer market instead of business. I’ve been rocking a Lenovo T14s Gen 6 ARM since it debuted. 😄
I really haven’t been paying attention on the consumer side, are there a ton of systems in the works or out for ARM on windows? Everything I see due to my line of work is business class SKU’s they are not cheap and not game friendly. 😬
They won’t or can’t get their anti-cheat/DRM in as a kernel module. Would you trust that bunch of fucks to not screw something up terribly by trying to pop in something like that?
Odd, mine has a metal handle recessed into the section just above the burrs. I assume that I can unscrew and pull them out with it.
It doesn’t make them money. Most of Microsoft is focused on business, enterprise, add AI. Everything edge is just part lip service.
I have them and they work well enough for my uses (gaming and video watching) I’m dual booting and honestly found the windows software trying to give you the 7.1/virtual surround so irritating I just uninstalled it.
Mostly, but as others have said variations exist. Another caveat is that newer/shorter tanks may need to removed to access the nut to change the filler valve.
You sometimes have to be careful with corn… I picked up some cheap bird food with corn in it, the squirrels got into it and buried kernels all around the yard. My wife just about went crazy yanking corn sprouts out of our and the neighbors yard! 😄
What. The. Fuck.
This is the way.
Ditto! I love mine. It reminds me of the ancient trackman marble fx that I owned in 2000. The built quality is great and the battery life is excellent.
Yes, file size, drive types, the amount of RAM in the server, in the source and destination of the operation, can all have an effect on Performance. But generally if he’s moving within the same pool, it should be pretty quick.
I probably had some form of that at the time and was amazed that it could play two audio sources at the same time as well as have multiple running videos.
There are a ton of $29 license sites out there as well. Yes, it’s grey market, but it’s not like anyone has gotten support from MS anyway.
It’s not the viability of the rust replacement of uutils that is the core of my issue. My issue is that mature code that has been tested, audited, and is stable has been removed for no viable reason other than it could have bugs.
