At least in my case that kind of setup is a somewhat isolated train line with few interconnects with stations that end up too far away from places of interest to the common rider.

Yeah this show hit a little close to home. I was working in a biomedical company’s HQ that was the size of a small gated village. This place had dozens of buildings, 5 cafeterias, a couple of fancy parks, and even an elementary school/daycare. The daycare is what really freaked me out. I wouldn’t be surprised if the kids were being taught to narc on their families through being drip fed pro-corporate propaganda.

It taught me we’re not in danger of being in a corporate dystopia because we’re already living it.

The junction system in Final Fantasy VIII. The magic system is based on the amount of spells you have left in an inventory and you can also equip them to your character’s stats. If you don’t take the time to acquaint yourself with the system your stats will take a dive because you’re casting spells like in a more traditional game. The upside to this is if you hoard enough spells and equip them to the right stats you can be unstoppable since early game.
