Pedestrian fatalities are correlated with two major factors: speed and vehicle size. In North America, streets are designed to make driving easier and faster: lanes are made wider, and obstacles are removed to reduce visual clutter. This results in everything in NA looking flat and being spread out.
Vehicle sizes are goibg up because of the “size wars”: the EPA made limits on fuel emissions barring vehicle size, so auto manufacturers decided to make larger vehicles to get around the limitations. Consumers wanted bigger, “safer” vehicles to make it more likely to survive a crash, so there’s become an arms race for vehicle size. As these vehicles get bigger, pedestrians become harder to see, and if a pedestrian is hit, the grill is so high, the pedesteian will be thrown under the vehicle as opposed to over it.
As North America grows, we expand into suburbs, which are residential only, requiring residents to commute into the city to get groceries or go to work. More driving means more km driven.

Were already at an all-time high of vehicle related deaths. We’d actually probably see a decrease in fatalities if we made cars smaller.

With the enshittification of streaming platforms, a Kodi or Jellyfin server would be a great starting point. In my case, I have both, and the Kodi machine gets the files from the Jellyfin machine through NFS.
Or Home Assistant to help keep IOT devices that tend to be more IoS. Or a Nextcloud server to try to degoogle at least a little bit.

I think the major issue is that most people see bike lanes as removing their choice to drive, rather than adding alternatives to make driving easier. These people pushing for change need to look at the MAYA principal principle, meaning they use the Most Advanced, Yet Acceptable vocabulary to ease in the transition.
Anyone who wants to platform for biking and making better urbanism needs to instead focus their campaign on being fiscally responsible and tackling traffic concerns. If pressed, they can say that there are lots of data showing that small, cheap changes to the road infrastructure can make a large impact in both traffics and taxes.

First, League typically doesn’t work well on Linux because Riot doesn’t care about Linux users. If League is going to be a deal breaker, I’d recommend getting a dedicated Windows system for the best time.
Second, your CPU has a known hardware bug with C-states. If you’ve been noticing your computer freeze often under Linux, disable C-states in your BIOS.
Third, are the games you’re trying to launch purchased through Steam, purchased through a different store, or pirated?
Are you able to play any of your games, or is it just these few that have been giving you trouble? If it’s every game, you may not have the nvidia driver or vulkan installed. Just to be sure, you can try running nvidia-smi
in a terminal, which will show you which driver the system is using. If you are unable to run the command at all, you’ll definitely need to install the nvidia driver
