Yeah i like it that i can play the game on the highest quality and it makes the steam deck less hot and the battery last waaaaay longer :)

I also have it connected to my tv a lot so i can play pc games in 4k on the couch.

I also tend to switch between the steam deck and pc multiple times in a day, so having everything on one system is really nice.

Games like vampire survivor, emulators, bind of isaac, olders games etc, i play on the steam deck directly. But having immediate access to my xbox games pass library is also really nice ^^

Honestly non at all. I even took a video once with my phone of my steam deck screen next to the pc monitor and the frames were perfectly in sync. The input feels native and i have zero latency with that. I remember years ago it indeed wasn’t that good. But nowadays its so perfect!

I even play competitive counter strike that way.

The stats show around 1ms. And that is network and decoding combined.

As long as you are at home, its indistinguishable from directly plugging in a mouse+keyboard and monitor.

I use moonlight to stream my pc to my steam deck. It automatically sets the resolution and refresh rate when i connect. It amazing.

I’ve been playing red dead redemption 2 and i just finished crime scene cleaner yesterday. and as always, genshin impact.

It says no multiplayer. Thats actually really sad because i LOVED the multiplayer back on the xbox 360. 😔

What a strange design. Why the keyboard instead of how the steam deck does it? I never even use the touch screen. I type by selecting the letters with the dpad. Its… strange. Also no trackpads. I mean some people could like it? It just looks a bit fucked. Like someone glued their kids tablet to a controller/keyboard abomination from aliexpress.

I was looking up lambda functions for rust because i needed it for something and didn’t know how, what, etc. But searching anything lambda now only shows results for fucking amazon lambda bullshit! Really pisses me off… its fucked 😠

Oh this is a good post for me! This happened to me. I had my pc drive encrypted so when it boots, i need to provide it with the password before it boots my OS. I use bitwarden to store my passwords and my bitwarden needs my 2FA code to unlock.

I wanted to install the newest version of LineageOS on my phone so i backed up everything to my pc and made sure i had everything backed up properly.

Then i wiped my phone and downloaded the new LineageOS iso and had to put it on my phone using ADB. But it had an issue to where it wouldn’t detect the phone. So i thought “Let me reboot my PC real quick because that might fix it.”

Presses reboot… "Please type your password to decrypt your harddrive: "

I have never had a worse panic attack in my life. EVERYTHING was on that drive. My work, my photos, my bank info, my entire life was on that encrypted drive.

But my password was on bitwarden. And to unlock bitwarden i needed my 2FA. Which i had backed up on my drive… which was now encrypted and i couldn’t unlock anymore.

I absolutely fucking lost it.

I dug through the entire house and after almost 8 hours of searching i found one of my old laptops in a box in the attic. I suddenly i got the idea that MAYBE i had once backed up my phone stuff before because i ran the phone OS it came with and i then at one point installed LIineageOS.

I dug through every single folder and suddenly i found an old vault backup of the two-factor authenticator UNENCRYPTED app that i had used before.

I send it to my wife’s phone and imported it into the app. The ONLY account that was on there… was bitwarden.

After almost 14 hours of pure stress and panic, i was able to decrypt my harddrive.

So my PERSONAL advice is ALWAYS store a physical backup.

I don’t want to go through that stress ever again.

Despite the really shitty performance issues in the city, i really really love the game. The first one meant a lot to me as it released in a time things were very stressful and difficult for me. The micro transactions piss me off too but luckily all of it is just in the game itself and it seems primarily there to trick people into buying it if they don’t know they can just get all of it in the game, and make a couple of extra dollars off of it. Which just seems like a decision by the people in charge as other capcom games have the same kind of strange shitty micro transactions.

Story and gameplay wise, the game is a masterpiece. The world feels really alive and chucking goblins around is a blast.

I was able to make my character look exactly like me and my main pawn exactly like my wife to the point of it being uncanny.

I really hope that they can fix the performance issues so more people can enjoy the game.

There are quite a few github repos with projects filled with buzzwords and other bullshit where i still dont understand wtf the software is actually for 🤔. I dont get it.

I… don’t think display ports add 100 on top of the price. Do you have a source for it that its so much more expensive?

Honestly, the whole user/community aspect of Steam is garbage. Discussion forums are just back and forth fights between people about random things like game issues without anyone trying to solve the actual issue. The screenshots/art whatever section is just softcore porn of the game characters and the main screenshots/art section that covers all games is just a hub for wallpaper engine crap.

The guides section is the worst. Its all just stupid meme shit like “How to start the game” or “how to walk forward”.

The workshop section CAN be decent but posters just select all tags for their items so searching by category is useless and there is no rule enforcement to prevent that.

I’ve been a steam user since the start and have a steam deck. Their linux support is really good but thats it.

Oh and trolls and bullies commenting on your profile just don’t seem to ever get banned nomatter what horrific shit they post.
