We probably don’t agree.
I probably said something you didn’t like.
You look lovely, by the way. New shirt?
Magnesium threonate cured my insomnia, it’s fucking wild how well it works. I’d tried everything until I discovered it, from melatonin, to antihistamine sleeping pills, all the way to downing 350ml of whiskey every night just to force sleep.
Magnesium works better than every single thing I’ve tried (but you HAVE to let yourself fall asleep when you feel it starting to work.)
I’ll legitimately be moving to Linux today. This just broke the camel’s back for me.
Early 30’s here. I was at a small gathering my best mate put together about a year ago, and his 19 year old nephew was there. He expressed his interest in anime and we got chatting. While showing me some newer anime-related TikTok stuff (I have no social media myself and haven’t really kept up with modern anime), I heard some fucking awesome ‘aggressive trap’ stuff and asked him who the artist was. It was Lil’ Darkie and I was immediately hooked. I went down a rabbit hole searching his best stuff as well as other similar artists, and now have a huge playlist of great music I’d have never discovered on my own.
imo music discovery is a pretty organic process for most people. It’s cultural and spreads via word of mouth. Chatting with younger people may be the best way to go, but understand that the youth rightfully don’t want us in their spaces lmao
This is one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. The complexity of life just continues to astound me.
I don’t get the obsession with ‘smart’ devices given all they seem to do is overcomplicate simple designs that have worked just fine for decades - in addition to opening them up to abuse or corporate surveillance. The smartest device I own is my Pixel 8, and I barely even use it unless I need to make a call or message someone. I won’t even buy a post-2014 car purely because they just contain too much tech I’ll never use and don’t want (not to mention the privacy concerns with cellular data transmission and telemetry.)
Aussie here. What’s a tip? /s
Unnecessary dialogue, ESPECIALLY if that dialogue must be repeated ad nauseam in order to complete what should have been a bulk action. Animal Crossing NH, as much as I fucking adore that game, has got to be one of the absolute worst offenders in this regard.
Also, difficulty that isn’t “tough but fair”, and is instead “every enemy does 10x damage, has 500x HP, has their numbers increased by 5000x, and also you die in one hit.” I’m exaggerating obviously, but my idea of a fun challenge isn’t being given no room for error against overpowered enemies, it’s the Souls approach; once I learn the patterns and flow of things, I should be able to almost play the game on autopilot. I still boot up DS3 all these years later just to relax, as I know the game THAT well now.
Is Session actually secure though? I know they’re based in Australia, and as an Aussie myself, holy fuck would I not trust this country for even a fraction of a picosecond with anything private or sensitive. We have some of the world’s most draconian and far-reaching digital privacy and surveillance laws, and I’m not ready to accept that Session hasn’t been secretly compromised by the AFP, given the law against revealing government backdoors.
Happy to be proven wrong, but I always err on the side of extreme caution when it comes to Australia. Digitally, we’re closer to the CCP than any of our fellow western nations.
I was a member of What.CD back in the day, and holy fuck, the elitism was insufferable… but the amount of genuine lossless music was unlike anywhere else, and the site was so well organized.
Reality is a dream. Try to enjoy it while you’re here.
They really need to rename it something that actually sounds as serious as it is, like ExecutiveDysfunctionDisorder (EDD) or some shit. My entire life was being played on Legendary difficulty due to no diagnosis until I was in my late fucking 20’s, and I was finally given medication and an understanding of all the ways my own shithouse brain has been holding me back.
I’m now slowly catching up on life. It fucking sucks.
I’m just using the default GrapheneOS SMS app, but it’s concerning seeing the number of these FOSS apps lately adding major privacy invasive permission changes. Are there a few big companies buying them up for a quick buck, or what?
This is exactly why I use Proton as well. I’m not worried about law enforcement, I just want Google and other big tech’s tentacles out of my fucking business. I don’t want to be advertised to.
Believe me, the world is better off not seeing me in a short skirt and thigh highs.
I like girls. I like how they look, I like the way they sound, I LOVE their fashion options. It isn’t really any deeper than that. That said, I’ll usually always play a male character in a Souls title, because [insert valid reason for inconsistency here.]
EDIT: I guess if I had to further expand on this, I’d say that female characters give me a way to explore options I don’t have as a tall, bearded, broad, ‘built’ man. I’ve always loved cuteness, hyperfeminine fashion, “girly stuff”, and so in addition to just really, really liking girls, video games allow me to explore the cute, feminine avenues I can’t in the real world.
Also, as another commenter stated, I’d also just rather look at a girl’s ass than a guy’s for the entirety of a playthrough lmao
This is something I’m very interested in too.
Spot on. My wife and I are actually making plans to move overseas. I’m ready to get out of here, but she wants to wait until the next federal election to get a guage on where things will be heading. In the meantime, we’re saving as much money as we possibly can, because Australia isn’t the country it used to be, and it’s clear that we’re both deeply-incompatible with the general culture of apathy, government trust, and rules, rules, rules. It’s suffocating.
Australia too. I’ll never understand it, and I live here.
Came here for the Ashens reference and was not disappointed.
