They are really concerned when people tire of their children dying from hunger and easily treatable diseases, we’ll be coming for them. But rather than give up an iota of the money generations can never spend for our ecology and things people need to live, they resort to things like shock collars and surveillance states.

There’s a balance though. Not a specific company, but with a company who sees my needs and value, and meets or exceeds that, with appreciation.

I had applied for a job in a busy area a long time ago. I followed up a week later, nothing. I called a few days later. Nothing. I’m okay with YouTubers getting paid. A lot of them put his of thought and work into their videos without earning anything, before they do. And yt never paid any of them fairly. What I’m not ok with is it’s endless ads and creators not being fairly compensated. Hence why I donate what I can, when I can, to creators I use. I also wish invidious instance operators were easier to donate to, but I see why they aren’t.

Actually what I see is a very loud group of users abusing people of very nasty things they themselves do. It’s clearly abuse, clearly gaslighting, and appears to be some unholy amalgamation of Dark Triad personality disorders. if instance users need more mods, more need to come forward and their post history thoughtfully vetted.

The only thing I’ve seen toxic so far is how he’s been treated. I’ll tell you something though, I see his abusers being very personality disordered, and it couldn’t hurt to self reflect. The loudest voices aren’t correct, just loud and very badly behaved.

Thank you. Hurt people hurt people. And the wheel of samsara keeps turning. It is hard, but let us focus on giving ourselves, each other, and in due time, those who traumatize us the love we seek. We can do this. We will stumble. We will fall. We will get up and try again, and again and again. Bullying is ugly. Click on his user name and block him. It’s sick and sad if mods are allowing this, rather than not noticing. You can complain, if you think it will matter. Just be prepared if may not.

A single step is better than sitting in our own ish then complaining about the smell. We’ll get there, with consistency and self-honesty.

I first was introduced to hex by a similar post, idk the community, and my first reaction was, "holy shit it, those people are toxic!” maybe it was a complaint about the dunktank. Since then, I’ve come to recognize how intelligent and sane they actually are.

Abuse begets abuse, and the cycle continues. I do hope my own instance hasn’t defederated. I’ve learned so much, incrementally, and developed a particular fondness for some users. I do feel enriched for them and ml having educated me patiently and kindly. I see them as older siblings who are human, like me. In fact, I’d say there are some I adore. Not hero worship, because that sets is up for disappointment or cult of personality. Just a particular fondness.

Let’s start a movement, friend.
