Your friend isn’t your therapist and while instantly reacting with “go call hotline” means you don’t have a friend at all, you cannot expect your friend to be able to bear the weight of your feelings, of your darkest moments with you. Stuff like this ruins people and I know that from experience from both sides. Dealing with suicidal thoughts of other people is extremely stressful and basically a landmine field. You aren’t trained to navigate it properly. You are not objective. And ultimately, other than being a sympathetic ear, you are unable to help them in the way they need help.

Yeah because it was a free game in the “hold to fly the helicopter up” genre that wasn’t supposed to blow up this much. There are millions of such games on app stores, steam, etc. Some of them catch lightning in a bottle and become ridiculously popular despite there not being anything special about them.

A town next to us has free transport and it doesn’t pan out great unless you have plenty of income from other places. They ended up with older busses, fewer lines and not much increase of people using it. A cheap, sustainable ticket will always be better for longevity than a free one, especially when the government changes and other things become a priority

Yup. Run a metro line to it. Run 100 busses when there is a match. Don’t take up so much space for something that’s not in use for 95% of the time.

It depends on the sound of the show for me. For instance - American Dad, old Futurama are great. Family guy, not so much. I also like to listen to specific streamers condensed videos. ZFG1 is a dude that plays old Legend of Zelda games. He’s got a great voice to sleep through, which doesn’t get boring - he plays the game in randomizers, which changes the playthrough but makes it still familiar enough to listen to. There are hundreds of 7 hour long playthroughs, along with hundreds of videos that are cut down to like 40 mins.

They made starcraft 2. The monetization is the exact same as there - coop commanders being paid along with episodic storyline. At the end of the day, SC2 WoL which was sold as a regular game, made less money than a mount skin in WoW. I’d rather they stick to what has worked, rather than not be able to play the game a year from now.

There needs to be a full story for people who forgot / weren’t interested in the game. The devs said there is multiplayer and you can meet but you won’t since the game is so large. A day after release or so, two players “met”. The planet had a different time - day for one, night for other. They couldn’t see each other. There was no interaction possible, there just wasn’t any netcode at that point. Of course the devs then ran with the story screaming “omg people already met up! Amazing!”.

Screw that ship. The worse part is the two hidden shops you see only after spending a certain, high amount of cash on the game. So “regular players” don’t see it and “whales” do
