Super easy to solve. Just seta geofence of no hooting. There’s a good reason they hoot in the first place, but it’s not needed in that lot.

I only really have issues when I’m out of the country, especially when I’m back in South Africa

There’s more but I’d have to search for it, it’s a good starting point though.
Yuuup, they use an ASIC too.
Here’s an attempted teardown https://www.youtube.com/live/AN0CMmFQIi0

I have a few Pricer* ones and they’re a pita to use.
Have to build an IR blaster to program them.
You also can’t use them once the battery is flat or if you remove the battery because it uses volatile memory to store the firmware.
Fuck you! I’m eating!
Best part is something similar happened with certain Linux distros a few months back.
They pioneered modern day planned obsolescence, they also popularised unrepairable electronics. They try to block or bastardise any right to repair bills. They force chip distributors to not sell chips they use so their products can’t be repaired. They make building applications for Mac at scale a huge pain in the ass and extremely expensive, the solution I recently built wastes insane amounts of power because of the way Apple licenses their stuff. Overall it’s a shitty company who fucks poor people in developing nations, fucks the environment and fucks it’s customers. I don’t care how well it may or may not work, fuck Apple.
Also OSX ui is shit and annoying.
Pretty sure the studio I work at will have layoffs by the end of the year. Fuck Microsoft.
Docker and the docker-compose yaml files. They’ll be invaluable. Compose files allows you to create custom networking and run multiple containers.
Super useful and what most people use to run simple docker workloads.
You don’t have to understand how to create containers, just understand how they work and the commands to use them effectively.
Yeeeeah, no enterprise admin would run that… GPOs would do the same with more transparency and no privacy concerns (besides running Windows of course)
There is always the Network + book. I went through it in 2005, so no idea what the content is like nowadays though
Honestly, UI and PC client experience.
I find the UI in signal a bit off putting. Telegram grabs you with their funky stickers, clean UI and dumb features. I alps hate that Signal won’t bother copying the messages to a new client… Like, I have a 1Gbps connection, surely we can copy my chat histories from my phone to my PC? Nope, gotta start fresh on every new client…
If they did less dumb shit like adding statuses, and put some more effort into making the UI nice, more people would use it.
And I get these are dumb reasons, but they’re real none the less
Yes to the first, as for the second, who knows, but most likely not, as it’ll be mixed plastics and you can’t just mix them all together and make something out of them
These fucking clickbait titles.
It only really works with hard water, otherwise you’d have to add calcium to the water before boiling it, and they only tested it with something like 3 different plastics, and they’re the most benign and least reactive ones.
This is not a magical solution to clean any water you boil.
I love seeing my team in person, it’s happened twice since starting this job over a year ago, we get along well and always have a good time together. If they were in the same office as me I’d go in for team days if I could.
My life is lonely enough at home to want to isolate myself even more.
Over the past 4 years I’ve spent months at a time without seeing a single person. That’s not healthy and I hate being alone. The biggest joy in my work life was always getting to hang out with other people because generally I’m very lonely.
Now I go to the office maybe once a week because I don’t want to wake up more than 5min before stand up.
Riven remake is coming sometime soonish
Unfortunately inertia presents a problem it’s the same with omnidirectional treadmills. https://youtu.be/fvu5FxKuqdQ
