  • I do agree with the old man yelling sentiment, but in fairness to the article it has ,imo, become a lot easier to get too high in the last decade. By that I mean becoming uncomfortably high. As a daily user for the last decade I smoke mainly because it has been the only reliable way to help me sleep I’ve ever tried, but I honestly enjoy being high as well.

I have issues with anxiety though and it definitely is really easy to accidentally overdo it. I’ve seen this sentiment grow in a minor portion of the community.

Luckily it’s a super super easy fix, add cbd bud. When I was reading scientific lit I saw many journal articles that discussed cbds ability to help with thc side effects. I don’t feel like digging them up right now.

  • I don’t really like concentrates, they are hell on my lungs and I just like the effects of bud more. It’s too easy for me to overdo dabs and get uncomfortable but I can dose bud pretty easy.

I would also say ball vapes are easier than dabs if you are using a blow torch, an enail dab rig would be the same amount of effort or easier.

I can completely understand that it’s a lot, dynavaps are also simple great working devices from what I’ve heard and a ball vape definitely has a big step up in complexity compared to them.

What I will say is all the complexity is in buying a ball vape setup, once you have a setup it’s so easy and buying a whole kit eliminates that but is $$$.

Here is what my daily ball vape use looks like:

Come home after work, walk by my ball vape table press the on button and the head heats up

I go to the bathroom while it warms

I come back to the table and grind my bud

Put the bud in the bowl

Place the head on the bowl

    Inhale

Take the head off and go about the rest of my night

So day to day use is actually super easy and I love having a heated head ready to go. Ball vapes are definitely complex but using them is pretty easy imo

I switched to mint 2ish months ago and a friend of mine switched to fedora at the same time. Both new from windows, I have had no issues with mint but he has now switched to Debian cause he was having issues getting discord to work properly.

OOTB experience with mint is it works, it kinda feels like cheating having a distro that works easily without tinkering. Like I don’t feel like a real Linux user haha, but I would 100% recommend it.

The meme is very accurate imo, the text would definitely be “hello fellow linux users!” instead of youths haha!

  • I’m so tired of hearing this about America, we have one of the most diverse countries in the world. I understand the narrative that the media shows the world, the most horrendous of Americans (which are the smallest groups) get a totally disproportionate amount of media time because of their awful actions. A majority of the population tries to be decent human beings, of course bias exists subconsciously and people aren’t aware of it.

I am in the SE region of the US, which everyone loves generalizing as the most ignorant and racist area. I have seen true racist when I was delivering pizzas and my coworkers were black, it was horrendous. I can assure you the racists are a minority and a shrinking one at that. Not only that but it is exceedingly rare that they are under 50 years. Not only both of those things but both millennials and gen Z call out that shit immediately.

It really starts to wear on you when you actively try to fight these things and everyone still only sees your country as full of racists. Yes they exist but it is a shrinking minority.

  • Man that is a clean looking ball vape, wireless too, sick setup! I love the way the armored coil looks too, very visually satisfying. I have heard great stuff about the Omega and zeal! I was looking at their website, the kits are a crazy good price. Pretty crazy like 2-3 years ago you basically had to sink $500 or make a DIY. I see sub $300 kits pretty often now! Is this your first baller? I got a pre-order screwball that should be in by the end of the month, so hyped!

  • That’s totally fair, they are not consumer friendly right now for a couple reasons. There are also safety concerns that people should consider with these, I’ll probably mention that in the next write. They are pretty new conceptually, maybe in the next 5 years they will be in a better spot but right I view this as more of a hobbyist/ I want the bleeding edge of cannabis tech.

All that being said I personally think they are cool as hell but I wouldn’t recommend it for 2/3rds of cannabis users, maybe even more like 3/4ths. I would say get a mighty in some cases, TM2 in some cases, or something that fits another niche. Ball vapes are kinda on the fringe of the vaporizer space right now.
