When I used to work in a prosecutor’s office, in a situation like this where the person has a clean record and comes in for an expired license, as long as you renewed the license before your court date, we would just dismiss the charges as long as you’re respectful of the court and the process. Dress well. If court opens at 9:00 a.m., get there at 8:30 a.m.
You will see defense attorneys milling about. You could ask one of them where to go to talk to a prosecutor. Usually prosecutors would start calling cases at 8:30 a.m. to make deals and see what defenses people are going to raise before the judge began calling the docket.
Just talk about how squeaky clean your record is and how you didn’t know your license was expired, how you went and got it renewed as soon as you found out, and you’d appreciate it if they’d dropped on your promise never to meet again.
I assume this is not for a trial appearance. This is a preliminary proceeding. Procedure may be completely different in your state.
I am not your lawyer.
That’s possible. I think where the data goes astray is the severity of the tornado. Like in other words, I bet tornadoes are hitting schools all the time but it’s hardly more than a strong wind.
Like just from a quick Google search, there are about 1,200 tornadoes a year in the United States. And there have been days that have had record tornadoes of like 100 tornadoes per day. And I know, at least as of a few years ago, there were quite a few areas of the country where there are huge gaps in radar coverage.
It’s just that it’s not really anyone’s job to count how many schools get hit by tornadoes. It’s kind of like how with dog bites, it’s not anyone’s job to record the breed, so the data ends up being a total crap shootn and nobody really has any idea.
What is this the third time I’ve agreed with you on something? See, common ground.
There’s no way that figure holds up. For tornadoes I mean.
I wish they’d share the crime scene photos of their kids.
Edit: why is this so unpopular? It will only be when Americans are forced to see the consequences of their votes that they actually confront them. Emmett Till’s mother made sure the photos of his bashed in face were on the front page of the paper.
This site only shows if your email address is floating around on some illicit data set.
There are plenty of ways to scrape email addresses without stealing them.
You probably signed up for something using your email address, clicked agree to share it with the company’s trusted partners, all 3,000 of them, and one of them proved not to be so trustworthy.
Good bot.
A little area on the bottom right is definitely out of bounds area. It’s right where the Indian exclusive economic zone ends. You can see its shape matches exactly on following map:

Never would have thought of that.
No they don’t.
You’re better off taking a few minutes to really relax your muscles in your neck and back. Start by breathing in as deep as you can into your belly, then in the same breath, switch to your lungs, and breathe in as deeply as you possibly can until it hurts, and then exhale. Do that for a minute and then when you think you can’t possibly breathe in any deeper, breathe in deeper still.
If you do this for a few minutes and feel crazy muscle spasms in your neck and back, you need to start taking a lot more deep, relaxing breaths.
The real interesting question is those two holes in the end of two of the prongs.
What are they for?
A long time ago there were two little dimples inside the outlet that corresponded to those holes, they would kind of help snug the cord in place and hold it in. Modern outlets don’t need that anymore since they kind of squeeze the prongs with springs, so why are we still drilling holes in all the plugs?
Well, it turns out, that if you don’t drill them, consumers think there is something wrong with the plug and don’t want to use it. True story.
Apparently, there are places out there and manufacturers that have decided to stop drilling the holes. I’ve seen one or two of those plugs and they immediately look extremely weird.
Corporations, now. Can’t even really call it a practice. They are businesses that employ doctors. In law, most civilized places, you can’t own stake in a law firm unless you are a member of the bar. Makes for a more service focused industry.
Another thing I haven’t seen mentioned is the way people find doctors now has changed. People look online, and there are plenty of sites that are just aggregators for data about doctors. Anyone can scrape that info and then setup a webpage to rate doctors. So now doctors are finding that they aren’t getting patients if they aren’t getting good ratings, so now we have doctors just telling patients what they want to hear, prescribing what they want to be prescribed. Gotta keep up that 9.8/10 rating to keep patients coming in.
That makes a lot of sense and I see the error of my reasoning. You’ve convinced me.
I don’t find this article compelling. Obviously it’s not going to last as long unrefrigerated. That seems to be their criteria.

Can I sell you on buying a second hammer? I assume the emergency in this situation is that you have lost your first hammer.
