  • I would say this is more true of the midatlantic/northeast. Very direct, say what they mean, it can come off as rude, or mean, but the subject outside of delivery, is not so.

After living in the southwest (born in LV, lived in PUMA, lived in Phoenix, lived in Prescot AZ, dad was stationed at edwards for a while too). I agree with this chart in a very superficial, this is a joke on the internet, way, honestly. Never met so many people who were just abrasive all around, than the SW. Hey, it’s been a lot of years though. There might have been a big cultural shift. Even if it hasn’t, I would take it over the “southern hospitality” mask of the SE, any day.

  • Never said that scientists weren’t leaving the US. And I did say that China created massive economic growth, I am aware that they were able to pull 800mm people out of poverty, with capitalism. Also never said I thought China was going to collapse. It is also easy to look up the people on Chinese parliament and see who they happen to be, btw. You can do it yourself, but I know you hate engaging with data, and actual research. What you have formed as your reality is all of reality. Also, outside of the chinese scientists that cold war fear-mongering are driving out, the US is, over all, gaining scientists, and in many fields, in STEM in general, the US actually has a glut of PHDs. Also, a lot of the lack of educated professionals, claimed by places like tech corps, is questionable, at best. Much of that is capitalists creating a false scarcity, for numerous reasons. I could post data about that, but, since the CCP didn’t publish it, I guess it isn’t real.

So, not only do you have to fall back on a fallacy, but you have to create a whole narrative of things I never said, nor implied. You did the reactionary thing, where you hear something you don’t like, and automatically create a whole dialogue, that never happened, in your head, to secure your position.

  • No I have read it. I agree that China was in a bad state because they didn’t do things at a tolerable pace, and instead used a more shock doctrine. The economy sucked, people were starving, being more authoritarian wasn’t doing the trick, so they caved to pressure from the US to open capitalist markets, and allow for a capitalist class. Now China has grown its capitalist market, and its billionaire class, and its surveillance, authoritarian state, and the capitalist markets are every bit as important as the government. This is more reminiscent of fascism, in red uniform.

“Do you call the US is socialist because of the post office” is kinda the opposite of the argument i am making isn’t it? I am saying that the structure is so integrated, and dependent on, its capitalists, that it looks more like the integrated corporatism of a fascist regime. So I am kinda inferring the opposite of this, am I not? That something as small as the US owning the post office would never qualify as socialism? Wouldn’t that be a, lame, yet more apt attack on your argument?

They are even pushing their borders. The big blockade keeping them from going for it is the NATO superstructure that gives the US/NATO physical military reach anywhere in the world. And yes, I heard their “the enemy is on our boarders, we are just defending ourselves”, but that is what NATO and the US say about their growing moves to take the sea of Japan, and the island nations of SEA, or, at least, the waters surrounding them. That is literally one of the first things from every empire that started taking foreign territory. Hell the belt and road initiative is just economic imperialism in its first steps.

  • The US is an imperialist hypocrite of a country. Like that is just a damn fact. As you point out though, the issues leftists, not in these spaces, have with places like hexbear, and ml, is the fact that they back authoritarian regimes like China. China who is in the process of the US playbook of economic imperialism with their BRI. They are committing a genocide, they are exploiting much poorer countries, to hold them in economic dependency, and they are discussing annexing land they do not own any longer, and haven’t for a long time now. No I am not talking about Taiwan.

They are making so many similar moves to the US post WWII, and have an economy that is dependent on allowing capitalism, to the point that they have a billionaire class second only to the US. While the US is growing its police/surveillance state, China is leagues ahead on that one. The big thing China doesn’t have, is something similar to the massive global infrastructure the US developed to be able to deploy, and supply, its military in a time frame measured in hours. China is trying to develop something along these lines, but it has the US/NATO super structure all ready in place, it will have to, at least partially, displace. This will not be easy.

  • What you are describing with meat is what happens not long after eating too much. In fact, other than lactose intolerance, it is rare to have issues that are not due to eating too much. Sure, there is a disease you can get from ticks, that can make you unable to process a protein, found in all animal products. Friend of mine has it. However, rare. Far more people have type one diabetes precluding them from eating a bunch of vegan friendly food.

That vast majority of people have bad reactions to hurting others though.

  • Have you ever petitioned your local legislators, or even contacted them? That is a starting point. You also search out what political initiatives are local to you, what political organizations are, and you look for ones already working for things that would benefit men. Things like groups pushing for better coverage of mental health care, groups that work to get popular media to discuss mental health, and work for better media representation of mental health care. There are plenty of these, and if none seem to be working for men’s interests, since you joined, you now have a opening to present data to get them to do so, etc. Everyone who wasn’t already a public figure, when the went on youtube, was in the same position. You could look for youtubers who are already doing just this, like for real, and not just grifting manosphere stuff, and push their channel to places.
Fuck, find channels that discuss mens’ issues, and mental health, in a real way, and go push them in manosphere places.

There is a lot you can. You have to take the initiative, you have to figure out what is out there, you have to figure out how to interact with them, etc. It’s not easy.

  • Yeah no fucking shit. I was saying that this is a hurdle to getting the population at large to do something better. I didn’t say you couldn’t get nutrients without animals, I didn’t say it was better than a vegan diet, I said we are wired to have a strong response to smelling, and tasting it. We have a similar response to bread. It would also be hard to convince most people to not eat bread. I did not say we can’t, or shouldn’t, or what the fuck ever you imagined my comments said, move to a vegan dietary system.

Holy shit, putting words in my mouth. God damn, can’t even discuss things that make it difficult to persuade the general population to change, something we need to understand, if you really want to get to a point where no animals are used for food, with some vegans. Because clearly ethical concerns for animal welfare, and the sustainability of human life on earth, aren’t enough of an argument.
