For strength there are some decent GID PETG options. Glow for all these is pretty good with regards to intensity but poor for duration. Be ready to replace your brass nozzle a little sooner than you thought. Using a oxbidian nozzle and it seems to take the beating well.
I use fireproof safe (good one) and annual backup to that.
I printed a sunglass case sorta like this but way less engineered. Mine also has exposed magnets but curious if you considered embedding them into the print with just a couple bridging layers printed over them? I’ve seen magnet cases like this eventually have the magnet overcome the glue and pull out.
Yes. Advise against doing what I did which is getting weirdly agile with modeling in the slicer at the cost of making cad software less desirable to learn. I finder Tinker cad pretty limiting and personally I can do more in slicer than I can with tinkercad. I do like Mattercontrol which is free, easier to use, and more powerful than tinkercad.
Interesting. If they weren’t patent trolls before, they certainly are now!
I wonder if this is all that’s stopping this technique though? IANAL, but it sure seems like a slicer could release this and if stratasys tried to sue them, they might have a hard time given all these patent errors.
Watch out. Luxotica going to place a hit on you.
Recommend this. Have a similar setup and you can 3d print spools and order bearings for them. That being said my direct drive filament feeder on my prusa is quite strong. As long as you make smooth curves with your bowden tube it should be ok.
The toys held up under the abuse right? The toys?
They look great. Couldn’t you have just done a filament switch for the stems though?
Like robotic vacuums / mops should be integrated into bottom of dishwashers. Drives me nuts this isn’t a thing.
It’s a 3d printer glued to a roomba! If you want plastic pieces of crap all over your floors just have kids!
And people here always giving US a hard time about lack of public transit.
Looks even better lit up like that!
Are we being denied a picture of it lighting up?!
No pretty sure it was an actual pdf database. I think there are mirrors that allow you to access all of Alexandra’s wonderful work. But nothing new is being added due to legal injunctions. Such a shame. Alexandra has added more to scientific advancement than most scientists themselves. Removing the barriers to shared scientific data is one of the greatest piracy feats ever accomplished.
You mean a research article published prior to 2022? Sadly there are no longer any updates
Neat. What plastics lack in absorbancy, this might make up for by having wells where condensation could drain into. Could also prove a veritable mold farm I suppose. Might try this with tpu as mesh layer to reduce slipperiness.
Most of the time I’m self aware enough to say, “hey how’s it going man!?” every once in awhile, I’ll get a weird false confidence and say, “nice to see you again Steve!”
Tell your friend in a dictorial country that Lemmy.ml has pro dictorial leanings and is probably not the best instance for someone who is feeling oppressed.
