Same energy, equally as thoughtful, and both very nice gestures.

It's about the smell and how that affects life.17·2 months agoNot a firefighter, but I have smelled human flesh burning. I worked pathology for a year, and right off the O.R., a few times a week, you could smell the cauterized flesh from tonsillectomies. I wasn’t in the room with the procedure, but you could always tell. For me, the smell never really reminded me of pork. It was its own thing. That being said, I can’t speak for everyone, but to me, it didn’t smell like pork.
Your art has undergone a lot of changes since the bald comic characters. Nicely done.

Unless it’s a game that I absolutely can’t get anywhere else, I’m probably just gonna use the Deck for those “key cart” “games”.
Hideakikarate@sh.itjust.worksto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Are Nintendo's $80 online game prices a result of tariffs or is Nintendo just using them as an excuse to price gouge as corporations do?14·3 months agoNot all games will be like that. Some will have the game on them. Street Fighter, Elden Ring, and Bravely Default are examples of a few that will be key cards. Oddly, I heard that Cyperpunk will be entirely on the cartridge.
We have horses, too. First time I’ve heard of this.
Hideakikarate@sh.itjust.worksto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What's easier to shoot, a bow or a firearm?3·4 months agoI’ve shot both, but don’t consider myself an expert by any means. For pure “ease”, I would say a firearm. If you can rest the gun on a table or tripod, even more so. Smaller firearms, like handguns, would be a “little” more difficult to aim.
Bows, on the other hand, would depend on the type. Recurve bows will usually have a lighter draw weight and harder to aim since you’re holding back the entire weight of the bow the entire time. Compound bows are my preferred type. You can more easily work a heavier draw because the bow kinda “locks” into place at full draw, requiring MUCH less effort to keep it there. My compound bow has a sight on it and I found shooting it a much more enjoyable and consistent experience than that of my wife’s recurve.
I got kinda rambling about it, but for pure “ease”, a firearm is my choice. I find a bow to be a more satisfying experience, however.

Being able to take nearly every game made out and about, not just PC games, has been a great experience. It doesn’t matter to me as much that I can’t play at 4k and 300+ FPS.

I tried to use the term “Rayleigh Scattering” on a 9 y/o. It didn’t exactly sink in.
I really wish they’d make a stronger one. I have the OLED model, and after “beating” Isaac on the Switch, I got it for the Deck so I could have mods. Most QoL mods are fine (EID being a huge one). But if I wanted to play a complete overhaul mods (like Boss Butch or others that add more enemies and rooms) or tanks the FPS so badly, from 60 in the starting room, not moving, to the mid to high 40’s, also in the starting room, not moving.
