  • You’re welcome <3 You seem like a kind person, and those people are easily taken advantage of. I don’t like seeing people lose that kindness because they forget to put themselves first.

This person you’re dealing with could have any number of good and valid excuses for their behaviour. But it’s still straight up abusive, and could equally stem from a harmful and malicious place. Unless you know for sure, the best you can do is not antagonise them.

An official report would be valid in your situation. But I wouldn’t get involved any further. Just save her messages and any evidence you have of her behaviour, on the off chance it does escalate and you or another coworker need to protect yourselves

Well yeah, but it stops people on other instances seeing deliberately biased comment sections. Effectively disallowing discussion about China bad and other issues on many major posts. If you defederate it forces people to make new posts and not use the compromised ones.

It’s like if we had an alt-right instance regularly getting on the front page, then banning LGBTQ+ discussion on any of those posts, and only allowing bigoted opinions through

  • The problem I have with Plex is that default UI is bloated with recommendations, alternative sources and what might as well be ads. Meaning I need to help less technically literate (and sometimes technically literate) friends set up the UI anyway. Just so that they can actually cut through the piles of bullshit to see my server content.

Plex’s default UI is ruined by it trying to shovel its extra shit onto you constantly, making it a terrible new user experience.

At least with Jellyfin you connect to the server and you’re done. It’s a lot more manual, but the UI is just better and easier to navigate.

I say this as an avid Plex user, mostly due to Jellyfin having somewhat dodgy support for more advanced audio and video codecs
