Man, you really can’t comprehend analogies, can you?..

I know what hyper-focus is on a personal level as someone with ADHD. I also have a BS in psychology, 6 years experience as a specialized caseworker for adults who are disabled due to serious mental illness, and I was just accepted into a clinical counseling masters of science program.

You are so utterly misguided and this is not only falling flat, but it’s trivializing the symptoms people struggle with. It’s not helpful. In fact, it is the opposite…

What are you talking about? How on earth did you extrapolate that?

Or did you take the fact that concentration problems aren’t typically constant as a positive trait somehow?

If someone has seizures every hour, it doesn’t make their seizures a positive trait just because they’re not constant.

I have EDS. I am 31 and haven’t had a day without pain since 2nd grade. It’s made me a tough son of a bitch with a crazy pain tolerance. That’s come in handy, like when I jumped in to save my dog from a stray that attacked him. You can say my pain tolerance is a positive outcome of my degenerative joint condition.

If you came up to me trying to frame my suffering as something I should be chipper about, I’d probably chew you up and spit you in the trash.

This is just blatantly ignorant to anyone with any sense. You’re just being disrespectful and demonstrating that you are disconnected from the reality of the situation.

This is like asking someone: “Are you sure you have a bad heart? You don’t appear to be having a heart attack right this very second.”

Having concentration problems does not mean one can never concentrate. Especially ridiculous to propose in response to such a short comment.

I personally think you’re some young kid that believes they figured out some new age bullshit or something.

That was absolutely my first thought. Haven’t looked at their history, but saw this post and one on the Autism community back-to-back.

I feel like their intentions are good, but the results are insulting and borderline delusional.

  • Vaping concentrates/extracts are very different from dry herb vaping.

[Cannabis] extracts are not diluted in propylene glycol or glycerol like nicotine due to their hydrophobic properties. Instead, various forms of oils including vegetable oils, terpenes, and tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E acetate) have been reported as diluents. In most reported cases of EVALI, additional flavoring additives are also added to products.

Although many of these diluent agents and flavorings have been “generally recognized as safe” for oral ingestion by the FDA, recent research shows that when heated to form an aerosol and inhaled, conditions including bronchitis, bronchiolitis, acute hypoxic respiratory distress, lipoid-associated pneumonia, and pneumonitis may result. [1]

The terpenes used in vape carts to dilute and reintroduce flavor and aroma (which is lost in some extraction methods) also produces harmful byproducts when vaped. [2]

Another problem with cheap vape pens and e-cigs is the cheap atomizers/coils used. There have been confirmed cases of these coils/atomizers leeching heavy metals into the vapor produced.[3]

However, dry herb vapes do not have these problems. Dry herb vapes only vape the flower itself. Unless you are running the vape high enough to result in benzene (205–365°C / 401–689°F) [4], then the only thing to worry about with dry herb vapes the quality of their coils. Again, cheaper atomizers/coils have been known to leach heavy metals into the vapor.

  • Maybe he was a redditor who watched as every subreddit became an r/AdviceAnimals and r/funny clone, where relevant discussion was buried under the same lame ass jokes on every post.

When morons posted r/funny material in r/nonononoyes, but were too ignorant to understand how that was a problem, this example was usually helpful:

Do you think it’s okay for r/wtf material to be posted in r/awww or r/EyeBleach? If r/TheOnion posts were posted in r/WorldNews?

There exist different communities for a reason. This is so obvious it’s painful to imagine how some people can’t grasp such a simple concept.

Why should the boundaries of the two different communities with different purposes errode? Because of laziness? Stupidity? What’s the point of even having communities if people just post the wrong content?

When you’re at a grocery store, are you one of the jackasses who decides “Actually, I don’t want this steak” and just set it on some random unrefriderated shelf in the wrong section?

This is the type of bad user behavior that turned reddit to shit.
