Someone in the comments raised a good question: how clicking a link to a third party website, exposes a discord auth token?

Flatpak doesn’t support DRM leasing so software can’t access the displays of the headset. Envision is also available as an AppImage: https://gitlab.com/gabmus/envision/-/pipelines?ref=main&status=success
Have you tried Envision/Monado on your Index? I have a Vive Pro and the performance is significantly better, albeit you lose controller rebinding feature and OpenVR (games which require SteamVR) compatibility is meh
Not all of them. Full scan of hardware is performed only when participating in a survey or requesting a hardware report. An example is Steam on my PC not detecting a SteamVR native headset (goggles icon doesn’t appear) until I’ll launch VR mode.
3?!? Geez my perception of time is so skewed
If I’m not mistaken Valve said they want to release it for desktops
And the portable MP3 players are most likely still gonna work nowadays. Most of the them had AAA batteries so no need to worry about flat batteries, iPods have a lot of replacement parts as well as upgrades, ex. SD card conversion kits
Yes, should be PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1
It does, you need to enable nvapi through environmental variables
This sounds like the chicken or egg debate
Take a look at DRM-free games (ex. GOG) and then check their rating on ProtonDB. If you don’t want to use Steam, there is Bottles and Heroic Game Launcher. I’ve tried former and it has a “gaming” profile which will automatically add DXVK and VKD3D for you.
If you used Gnome over X11 then you’re fine, Wayland needed patches
No Man’s Sky VR in general feels unstable. On Windows it always crashed roughly 20 seconds after loading in. On Linux I have lots of UI corruption
Try passing the SafetyNet check
NMS uses Vulkan directly

“Don’t provide bootloader unlocks” https://developer.sony.com/open-source/aosp-on-xperia-open-devices/get-started/unlock-bootloader/
OP’s phone, Xperia 1 V, is on this website and requires an IMEI number only to generate an unlock code
Try enabling DXVK
