It is quite simple for me : An XBox controller, with the 8bitdo battery pack+dock.
All the Ultimate goodies (except for backpedals), none of the headache.
The Gullikit KK3 is a very good choice too.

I’m only a moderator, that’s not a decision I’d be taking alone.
Problem is that a community as broad as a gaming one is bound to be subscribed my many user on many instances. Switching it to another one will only move the problem elsewhere, not fix it.
Still, if that’s a problem, we could research other courses of actions, like dividing LW in multiple sub-instances for broad topics. The idea would be to get all gaming related community on “games.lemmy.world”, and getting most games related communities to switch there, so external instances can subscribe to that specific instance without receiving all the other updates from other communities. That would also make it a lot easier to scale the servers to the right size for the right use.
But once again that’s not my decision to take.
You can probably add !games@lemmy.world (disclosure, I’m a moderator)
No FFXIV community?
Having worked on both Java (as a student), then .NET, the later has a lot of features Java didn’t have.
Ironically, as Wine (and Proton) uses Mono, MS contribution (among a lot of other projects) may have enabled Valve to make Proton what it is today.
Removed the parental advice part. I didn’t want to be an asshole, believe me.
To me it looks like you don’t have enough power, either on the Pi4 side to decode, or the mini-pc to encode.
Automod ?
Indeed.

As often with IBM, everything is proprietary 😅
I use it on Fedora, never got that issue. But you are right, it lacks some fine tunning, but overall it is a great headset for Linux.
My only criticism would be about the cushions, which broke apart quite early. Fortunately they are easily replaceable.
A Queer Code Reader?
Too bad it is nVidia only, I only got AMD cards.
The fact it isn’t Steam Deck verified is ironic.
Kernel 6.5 at the time of this comment, may evolve. Usually it is the N-1 LTS kernel.
Edit : considering 6.5 isn’t an LTS kernel, we’ll probably see an upgrade to the 6.6 LTS kernel soon.
It is also a possibility to get a MB without WiFi and add an add-on pcie board. Like that it is possible to upgrade that part too.
Edit : Bonus point if you take one with removable wifi chip, like that one, as you can upgrade for cheaper (buy a $30 laptop card and swap it on the add-on card, and you are good to go), and reduce e-waste.
You could run a WebDAV server, like Nextcloud.
On windows it supports thin sync (meaning that it keep a reference to the file instead of the whole file), on Linux not yet, as it is still in alpha (but you can just connect it as a remote disk and be done with it. That’s how I do with mines).
If you don’t want the whole Nextcloud, there are standalone cli WebDAV servers.
The budget is way too low imo.
You could repurpose an old workstation, bought dirt cheap on eBay if you are lucky, but even then you’ll have to get yourself an HDD, maybe multiple of them if you want to have data redundancy.
For anything new your best bet is a 2 bay ready made NAS, but you’ll have to invest around 300€ for the cheapest one.
Curses! Another library!
(Sorry, that piece of software name always make me chuckle.)
