My wife is big on library, and I need to, but I grew up just pirating stuff, so here we are. But she has a book club, and she’ll place a request for the book, and in the event it’s not yet available, she maintains the request but I get it for her. And for me personally, when I like a book or a series, I go and snag them later. I just prefer reading in Kindle anymore.

You know what they mean though. This isn’t someone who was a car who is now an ebike. This is someone who was feet or four or two wheels who is now doing 25mph on the sidewalk with no insurance. Once again, infrastructure is stuck catching up with technology, and that’s normal, but we are in the middle of it now.

Agreed, also neurotypical (probably), and I wrote about it in another comment, but sometimes distracting myself from physical and mental fatigue help me focus on the task at hand, especially considering the subject matter of my work can sometimes be a bit dry.
I am a stenographer. I cover board meetings with lots of people speaking about moderately technical subjects. I do my best work when I can watch a hockey game while I listen to what people say. When the night wears on and fatigue starts to set in, having a distraction like that is a huge help.
Yeah, I remember when they started rolling out data plans and they were hefty and the Internet on phones was useless. Then GPS on your phone was an add-on, also hefty. So it’s definitely improved.
This was certainly in the US at one point. I remember having 500 per month, which was an absolute joke for 16 year old me with a girlfriend the next town over, and paying 25 send and 5 receive afterwards. Old cell plans were absolute trash.
I tell people I will work til I die, partly as a tongue in cheek jab at how bleak the future looks, but also because I find my job to be a good way to occupy my time.
Oh yeah I don’t sit on them. Had an S4 at one point and broke the digitizer sitting on the phone, so now it’s very habitual, remove phone and wallet, place phone on table, place wallet on phone. Obviously it’s situationally dependent. If I ride a rollercoaster they go in front pockets.

I think the point is you can’t put a search term into a search engine and get results from some random Discord. No body is going to go trawling through Discords to then use the search function to potentially find information from it. Now, if chats were somehow archived and could then be searchable, different story, but I don’t think that’s what people using Discord want from Discord.
What happens when a hyphen is used in a movie title? I think that’s frequent enough, versus an underscore or a period.

I pirate first, and when I’ve really enjoyed a book I add a physical copy to the collection. I just can’t get behind paying for digital shit, for the reasons enumerated in this thread here. I just wish there was more direct-to-creator payments. Music and literature are perfect mediums to give directly to the artists who create it. I don’t give a fuck about whoever paid fir the digital ink. Maybe the record people get a little money.
