Many that were filmed in front of a live audience still had a laugh track. Either to correct them not laughing or not laughing enough at the clearly excellently written jokes, or laughing at things they weren’t supposed to was removed or dampened.

“a few hundred more” for a device that only costs a few hundred to begin with seems a rather hefty premium to pay, and calling that “lucky”.

There’s also mods in satisfactory. For example “satisfactory plus” is essentially a full rework, increasing complexity by 2-3x. Obviously needs to be updated for 1.0 first though… Just in case you need something until factorio dlc at the end of October.

Any password manager should be able to “type in” the password. Or be a browser plugin that doesn’t rely on copy pasting, but use other mechanisms to inject it directly into the field.

One of the basic rules is that “you can’t prove a negative”. You can only prove it by it contradicting something that has proof, which isn’t gonna work for something like this. As a plain example: you can’t prove you were not at McDonald’s at 8 o’clock last night, but if there’s video of you being somewhere else at that time it proves it only because it would require you to be in two places at once.

So the best you’ll probably do is promising really hard that you did your best to look for it? The problem is that it may well exist, but hasn’t gotten any traction and might be a 1 person thing in some repo somewhere, undocumented and badly searchable with a bad project name.

N100 needs some amount of cooling. Either a great big choker probably larger than the pi for passive cooling, or a more suitably sized one for some sort of fan. Or you can run it without any cooler and see it throttle when using about half a core, defeating the purpose of having an n100 on there in the first place…

If you got your way, the vast majority of the Internet would disappear together with the advertising. The Internet runs on advertising. If it stops being viable, so does the Internet as a whole. How do you think all these free services are funded?

The trick is to take the privacy violating and tracking part out of it. If you block ads, that doesn’t matter. If a few tech savvy people do, it doesn’t matter. If literally everyone does, it suddenly matters a lot.

Of course they are working with one of the advertising giants, that’s the point. That’s who the solution is for. If none of them would accept it, it might as well not exist.

Yes exactly. I didn’t wanna name-drop them cause they are closed for new dynDNS signups. You can create an account to manage your own domain, but you currently can’t signup for their dynDNS service, unfortunately.

That being said, I would still highly recommend them for managing your own domain, if you’re looking for a place to host literally just the DNS part.

There are dyndns providers that support the DNS challenge that have free tiers. Those are sufficient, and you can even get wildcard certs for your subdomain that way. Perfectly sufficient for a homelab.

Despite how good the steam deck is, any competition is good. With MS hardware track record I don’t have the highest hopes, but again: any competition is good.

Yeah. Some services you kinda want accessible directly, but ssh really isn’t one of them. Even though it should be safe, as that’s it’s intended purpose, putting a VPN in front of it makes a lot of sense, especially with how easy it is to setup these days. Anything used for administration is systems should be behind one.

Yeah I was just so confused when I found out that this isn’t possible. Like, it’s a file hosting and sync-ing application. That’s like absolute basics. It isn’t even “just” an open source project any more, there’s a company behind this product now. I am the last person to be angry about an open source project, run by a volunteer or three, not being feature complete.

For what it’s worth I think it works in the iOS version of the app (possibly always has?). But that’s doesn’t exactly help me either.

The native Android client just can’t do two way sync. Just put a text file or something into any folder (from the web or desktop). Now sync that folder to Android. Now edit it on the web/desktop, and look for the changes on Android (without actively telling it to “sync”). Then change the file on Android, these 2nd changes are never sent back to the server unless you explicitly tell it to “sync” again, manually. That’s what I mean with 2 way sync.

There are quite a few files where you just need that to work to use them properly, like the database of a password manager as a prime example. Mine can talk to Nextcloud natively, so I don’t need the client for that, but I was incredibly close to just switching to syncthing, if I didn’t have active users that use the web office integration of Nextcloud.

I think the typical recommendation would be “the 100” (Link to GitHub). There are a few other projects like it. I think that should be a good starting point for a search though if that particular one is not your cup of tea.

We’re in the age of easily accessible, great quality hardware though. Just from a performance point, 3d printing will be worse in most respects comparatively (still “good enough” though if using a modem design). Look at a Voron V0 kit as an example (or one of the other printers for ants, if you’re looking for more complexity). Uses nothing but readily accessible parts, reasonably priced and incredible performance.

That is such a weird “headline feature” to be adaptable to different riders. I’ve never known someone who would regularly share or swap bikes with someone where this is needed. I need my bike to fit me. I buy adoringly and set it up once. I then never touch saddle height, handlebar position and whatever else is adjustable ever again.

If it brings production costs down for having less variants or sizes, sure. But who needs this as a feature so desperately that it’s one of 3 l features even mentioned in this post (except for it being a trike in the first place, I guess).

Nextcloud can’t do two-way sync on Android. At all. That’s like core functionality for the product IMHO and there’s a feature request open I think. When I found that out, I basically spit out my coffee. It’s fine if you just want to upload photos you take, that kinda works (but my god is it fragile).

Nextcloud is pretty good at quite a few things, including extensibility, but having some omissions in functionality that boggle the mind.
