I don’t really ever hold grudges, but if someone seriously wrongs me, I would just avoid them from then on. I’ll forgive them easily, at least most of the time, but that doesn’t mean that I have to like them or continue being their friend or hang out with them ever again.

I think you should look into trying to move closer to where you work. If that’s not possible then look for a different job, set it up first, then go ahead with quitting this one.

And your app is still 100x better than theirs even with all their resources. To think the CEO gets pissed off that users prefer yours over theirs even though they have no reason to make an app that bad.
