So they have a great reputation with people who aren’t gamers?

I also find PC gamers are becoming a toxic group, they hate everyone
User Nuke_the_whales doesn’t like how toxic PC gamers are.
I skipped buying Death Loop despite a decent sale on steam just yesterday because of denuvo.
Death Loop has Denuvo? I remember pirating that about a year ago.
A new windows computer I would have had to set up for her as well.
Just set my MIL up on Linux Mint. The two things she uses her computer for are email and web browser, so it doesn’t make any difference to her.
Companies will charge what the market will bear. If Netflix increases prices and lowers quality and people keep paying the higher price for lower quality, then Netflix will keep doing it. It’s up to consumers to not pay for enshittification in order to stop it.
They literally call themselves pro-life and then express support for the death penalty.
So far, the best system we’ve come up with as a species is heavily regulated capitalism with strong social safety nets
And for quite a lot of human history the best system we had come up with was Feudalism, until we started doing something better.
Just because Capitalism is the best we’ve come up with so far doesn’t mean we should just accept it, or that 1000 years from now people won’t look at the Capitalism with the same disdain we look at Feudalism.
Until it stops increasing profits.
I found a thread in the Steam forums of someone offering invites, but thank you for the offer :)
The difficult steps in FTL are no joke. I was having no difficulty clearing on easy and was just trying to unlock all the ships. Once I did I switched to normal and had to restart 3 times before getting out of the first sector.
So how do I get an invite?
I’ve been taking part in the beta, as far as Steam is concerned me and my friends are a thrupple. Works pretty well, other family member’s games just show up in your library. Haven’t had any issues, Steam will tell you if your copy is in use by a family member and you either play something else or ask them to quit.
They know, they don’t care. It’s all virtue signaling. All their base sees is that the politicians are trying to force Christianity on people and the godless heathens are stopping them. Clearly they need to vote more Republicans into office.
I remember being that guy.
It never gets better, ads only ever get worse. If you are successfully ignoring ads then they aren’t doing their job, and they will keep trying different ways to get your attention until you get sick of this shit and get an ad blocker.
You have found a specific thing that would improve, save yourself the hassle and get ublock now to fix this for you as well as a dozen other little things you are “living with” that will be much better when they’re gone.
Even games without their own native compatibility for Linux Steam provides support for. I was able to run Doom Eternal from Steam without any issues, just had to find and turn on “enable Steam Linux support”.
I took it to mean “I don’t know if this is actually true or not, but I’m going to post it anyway” which is exactly where tons of quickly-spreading misinformation comes from and how it gets passed on.

though I don’t currently have time to look into it
Seriously?
Denuvo’s customers are corporations, not consumers. “We had a poor reputation because of gamers. CEOs who aren’t gamers love us!”
