I can never get past the geoguesser part
I can never get past the geoguesser part
Tor was always comrpomised, the point has never been to be uncrackable, the point is that tracking down an induvidual user is enough effort that it can’t just be done on mass like with normal internet traffic. If you draw direct attention to yourself then it isn’t going to save you.
So the thing people miss about this one is people who live out of the reduced/sale section. While at full price a vegan diet is cheaper (though requires a bit more prep time, not much more though microwave steamers are a miracle) Meat is much more calorie dense and can end up being as much as 80-90% off just before it turns, vegetables on the other hand never go on sale. In this circumstance meat is cheaper.
More regionally some of the foods in a vegan diet that make up for protein can be more expensive than you might be used to. Sure beans are universally cheap and there’s some nice varieties (I like kidney and butter beans a lot) but chickpeas, nuts and really all of the non-bean alternatives are actually pretty expensive in some places (e.g. where I live).
That said I admit to being one of these people who could maybe drop meat (I only get it when its on sale/reduction at this point) but couldn’t live without cheese and eggs. iirc chickens are the lowest carbon livestock but I await a good cheese alternative or non-dairy cheese.
Not to mention googles push for an identification standard that would effectively ban any non chromium browser from all major websites.
Tangential, according to one of my college lecturers even the cheapest LED bulbs are capable of lasting multiple human lifetimes, its the little power supply circuit that comes with each bulb that breaks and ruins the bulb.
Illithids got it bad tbh, in at least one edition they’re not innately evil but indoctrinated into a cult where they get mind controlled and ultimately eaten by a giant brain, that brain is the real villain.
Unsalted in the shell is what I was talking about, I guess its a regional thing. The UK isn’t even close to anywhere they can grow so they’re really expensive here.
Peanuts should be at the top of the chart not the bottom, those things are fucking expensive.
Scotland is just not bike friendly, our ‘cycle lanes’ are just a thin often mostly worn away white line painted on a road of normal width (Which for americans is already way narrower than your roads) and trying to actually cycle on them is tantamount to attempted suicide.
I see it as trying to combat the dystopia where not only is our data scraped but now every single thing we write, draw or film is fed into an AI that will ultimately be used to create huge amounts of wealth for very few, essentially monetizing our very existence online in a way thats entierly unavoidable and without consent.
In addition its entierly one way, google and others can grab as much of our data as they want while most of us would have an extremely hard time even getting granted a freedom of information request about ourselves, let alone grabbing a similar amount of data about those same corporations.
Eh pathfinder 2e is definetaly better than D&D but 1e is honestly really harsh in terms of character builds.
Damn thats an incredible degree of overreach and looks like it gives established companies the power to take down any rising competitions websites without oversight.
I think that’s kind of the point though, we could meet space traveling aliens and deem them non sapient beings without emotions using the same logic we apply to animals because there’s no empirical way to prove that any creature isn’t just the sapience equivelent of a chinese room.
to be fair plenty of older games hold up today in terms of gameplay if you don’t mind dated graphics (or if the game uses a timeless visual style). There are a few that I’d totally pay full price for a re-release simply because its hard to get them to run on modern systems.
This is what I meant, if everyone is running googles web integrity API it also effectively allows google to ban other browsers from even existing by denying them access to all major sites.
Lets call it what it is, googles attempt to create a situation in which they can ban all competition and establish a global monopoly.
Isn’t that a good thing? sounds like the rail is being run as a public utility rather than a business. And its still likely profitable if you average the cost over all the lines.
Best episode this season, still mad about whatever that space king episode was though.
What… what did I just watch?
As I understand it only the US, UK and countries like Russia use first past the post these days.
