Openwrt can run Adguard, and as long as your gateway can run docker, you can probably get pihole working.

Yeah, that is an option, gotta make sure the don’t breed out of control though. Given the world isnt going to instantly stop eating meat, this is realistically what will happen as demand drops.
This isnt an meat vs plants thing, that is as you say, established.
But for a given item of food, acquiring it locally instead of shipping it from overseas is always going to be better.
Don’t read too much into the URL, seems there is a wealth of information there (Although there are likely some author biases as play).
Interestingly, most of the beef greenhouse gasses are from them producing methane during their lifetime. Which means if your goal is to prevent greenhouse gasses, not eating them isnt enough, you also need to cull the herds as well, which I doubt is gonna make many vegans happy either.
I still personally believe buying local is probably the best bet, and that you’ll go mad trying to look up every ingredients impact, but good luck :)
You have a notebook. On the first page, you put a table of contents. As you fill in pages, you note them down in the table of contents at the start.
When you want to delete a page, instead of erasing the whole page now (there are hundreds free still, why waste the effort), you erase the entry in the table of contents.
Now if someone finds your notebook, according to the table of contents there is no file at page X. But if they were to look through every single page, they would be able to find the page eventually.
This is loosely how file systems work. You can’t really use it to boost storage, the number of pages is finite, and if you need to write a new page, anything not listed in the contents is fair game to be overwritten.
A big part of it will be transport costs. Anything you get from a local farmers market will be infinitely better than what you get shipped around the world.

My purely anecdotal opinion, once you get into university and higher education, everyone is a bit autistic and socially stunted. Its almost a prerequisite.
The NSA has two semis conflicting jobs. They are meant to gain access to foreign adversaries, as well as protecting american interests. Publishing ghidra goes towards the later.
There is also a law in the US that stuff developed by government agencies needs to be open sourced. I can’t find the law, but there have been other bits of OSS stuff released by other agencies.
Selinux was developed by the NSA.
Cura used to have a standalone thing that you could use the slice models on the command line, it was used as part of octoprint.
Edit: It was this: https://github.com/Ultimaker/CuraEngine
You may want to investigate using that?
There is new futerama episodes! I have clearly been hiding under a rock. Seems its trapped on Disney+ for me, shame.
For openwrt+wireguard, see: https://cameroncros.github.io/wifi-condom.html
Looks like tailscale should work in openwrt: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/vpn/tailscale/start
For the wireguard server, I am using firezone, but they have pivoted to being a tailscale clone, so I am on the legacy version, which is unsupported: https://www.firezone.dev/docs/deploy/docker
Edit: fixed link
You think the shovelware will properly self-declare? If only :)
They are gonna have to really specifically define what AI is.
Is it a LLM? manually coded agent? Some other machine learning?
I thought that was the case tbh, has it changed?
Edit: is-even depends on is-odd.
Is-even and is-odd on npm.
For a while, openssl was maintained by 1 or 2 people.
That is likely a speed test server within the same data center as your vps, or they have special traffic shaping rules for it.
Try using iperf from your local box to the VPS and see what speeds you get
I think that should do it. I’ll try later today and report back.
Of course, this risks getting into an even worse state, because if the parent later tries to correctly wait for its child, the call will hang.
Edit: Will clean up the orphan/defunct process.
If the parent ever tried to wait, they would either get ECHILD if there are no children, or it would block until a child exited.
Will likely cause follow on issues - reaping someone elses children is generally frowned upon :D.
Zombie processes are already dead. They aren’t executing, the kernel is just keeping a reference to them so their parent process can check their return code (waitpid
).
All processes becomes zombies briefly after they exit, just usually their parents wait on them correctly. If their parents exit without waiting on the child, then the child gets reparented to init, which will wait on it. If the parent stays alive, but doesn’t wait on the child, then it will remain zombied until the parent exits and triggers the reparenting.
Its not really Linux’s fault if processes don’t clean up their children correctly, and I’m 99% sure you can zombie a child on redox given its a POSIX OS.

Because English is half a dozen languages wrapped in a trenchcoat? A lot of the law related words are from French derivations AFAIK?
Domain specific language is found across all realms of society, even firefighters have words or phrases with a specific meaning (back-burning, pumper, appliance, etc). So maybe its not that some areas are lazy, its just that you haven’t been exposed to their more technical side?
I think its better to keep your gateway basic, and run extra services on a separate raspi or similar. Let your router/gateway focus on routing packets.
