I love that my global settings has a whole section labelled Privacy, but I can’t disable this globally for all chats my account joins.

Instead I have to disable it for each chat individually.

She worked in our industry and specifically the same role he did, but at a more junior level I have to assume.

Distilled down a but I essentially said if they like each other and they are together because of that, then it’s fine. They are both adults and can have fun together as much as they want. They need to keep that balance though. If it becomes a mentorship kind of situation then they probably both need to take a step back and reflect on what that means.

Does it need the DLC to complete it? That’s… Both awful but sadly not unexpected these days.

The real question is what resolution. My 6900 XT with no FSR and no raytracing, at 1440p, could do 63fps average but sadly stuttered at times. I forget the exact graphics settings but generally high / ultra because I was pushing it to see if it would do it.

At 4k I’d probably get half that.

Capcom specifically does two releases of Monster Hunter by two different studios, sort of alternating, for this reason.

MH World and Icebreak were the “fancy PC / Console games”

Then MH Rise and Sunbreak were the “mobile” releases.

Now MH Wilds is another “fancy PC / Consoles” release.

So Capcom does actually account for this.

That’s a separate issue from requiring internet access / cloud / their servers to be online to print.

I’m by no means a huge VR user but I find the PSVR2 rendering based on your focus point to be a really neat feature for that reason.

Wherever you’re looking gets full resolution. Things in your perifory get downscaled. This helps the headset maintain max FPS at the full Hz.

You have me thinking of like… A ring around the equator with space elevators on it (with stations at the top), and “rail” tracks, with trains traveling between all the stations. Gaussian launchers sending packages to your nearest delivery depot.

On top of that they can import your wishlist from Steam. You can set a threshold / price on each game, and they will let you know anytime something is below that price.

While this is technically true, in practice I’ve found there’s always something the old PC is missing, tech wise.

Socket change. Ram version change. New version of PCIe.

Effectively you need to do mobo/cpu/ram all together.

The only other components are GPU and storage, which I agree are generally transferable, but depending on age you may want to upgrade too.

I guess PSU but that is thankfully something you almost never need to upgrade, unless your new GPU sucks down a lot more watts.

Maybe if I had an AM5 board I would be in a better state, but currently on AM4 so my upgrade paths are limited (already on a 5000 series chip).

Thankfully an electric bike and ICE car will be different enough that it won’t be too bad, but there might still be the odd crossover.

When I built my home server this is what I did with all VMs. Learned how to change the start up delay time in esxi and ensured everything came back online with no issues from a cold built.
